Little thingy, some of the new shapes are 90° turend, that annoys while building as you suddenly have to adjust the blocks orientation in 2 instead of just one dimension.
Not sure how to insert an image, but this one is easy to describe. The large corner pieces current have two caps. We need one of each style with only one cap so that we can stack them more than one high. I want to make a window that is two blocks high that wraps around the corner of the building.
agree , and for sure we will come up with a lot more missing shapes Keep up the great work Eleon team
Just a general thing about the windows and not necessarily the shape. Could we get all the windows more seethrough from the inside out at least? It's quite difficult to see through them at times I found
So when you use the multi tool to rotate the window it doesn't change the transparency enough for you?
FIY: More connectors are currently in production (Also a mirrored version of the aforementioned shape)
I love these new heavy windows! Fantastic work Eleon Team. However I have noticed that the only diagonal window is WindowG. When you are creating large panoramic heavy windows, a diagonal version of HeavyWindowP and HeavyWindowQ is needed. Additionally a HeavyWindowP & HeavyWindowQ version of Window F, Window E and the small connecting diagonal windows, Windows H, I and J would be really awesome. Without these blocks you end up with a diagonal bar in the middle or top of each block. With diagnonal versions of these windows, large angled panoramic windows can be created.
I've been playing a bit with the heavy windows; some of what I want to do, I can't because we don't have the blocks yet (so I'll just settle in to be patient there). One thing I noticed: paint/texture applied to the HWs is always for both sides. Would it be possible to have it apply to just one side, and paint/texture the other differently? The deco scheme on the inside of my ship rarely matches the outside, and it's hard to find something that works on both sides...
I just have a general question. Wouldn't it be easier to have a clear version of most block shapes? Rather than just trying to make specific separate window blocks? The reason I ask is two fold. 1. The window blocks take up a full block spatially. They cause collision/clipping problems and other issues seemingly because of space they take up spatially but not visually. Basically it's not an advantage if your building a small room or custom cockpit to use window blocks except that you can see out of them. Just haveing regular blocks in a clear mode would achieve the same results. 2. Still seem to be missing pieces but I can't quite describe them. The geometries used for shapes defy labeling. All I can say is that trying to make a rounded cockpit with the roundish clear corner pieces really didn't work out like I wanted it to. There were a lot of roundish corner pieces that would have looked great as part of the cockpit but they were opaque connectors for roundish ramps.
If you can make a mockup where the missing blocks are ... missing .. we might get an idea what shapes should be added.
Be careful, or I might show you a whole bunch I'm still needing (not sure if anyone else would want them, though... I'm not the best builder...)
Whatever window blocks we end up, is there a chance we might have frameless ones (i.e. all glass) so we can make custom cockpits you can actually see out of?
Please go ahead - if you do not expect we do them all right away. ( I keep all the suggestions in my list, so i can keep track of the most wanted/Required
@medicineman, @Pach, @markis007 , If you guys take in game pics (in POV 40 would be nice), of the "missing" blocks by just having the adjoining windows you would want to meet, (like @Faith did), I could make them in 3D, post them here have you verify that's what you were thinking and then Hummel would have no ambiguity. If there's nothing they could attach to yet, like with all glass panels of @Flash Hendricks suggests, even a pic from a movie or whatever is enough for me to make suggestions you could take a look at. I've been doing it for blocks recently.
