I make routine flights to test this nervous 10t bomber who handles both that a kite. Perfectible [built in 3 or 4h] but very agile [it was the aim of this quick project, ] ..of course, there is no use as we will not have better materials for the body .. Made in Swiss Empyrion Server and called [AWE] Peace Delivery
Constructed deep space exploration vessel 'Voyager X' (inspired by movie 'The Martian'). Made in Swiss Empyrion Server:
I've been working on a patrol vessel on a creative server, complete with blue and red lights when turned on. Feeling quite a boss in that thing!
Few days ago I cruised through the SV-Blueprint section hoping to find something that would inspire me to build a jetfighter-ish type of SV. Eventually I found a cute little design by @Tiv and I took the liberty to use that design as a base model for my SV. I've turned it into a fighter with 7 lasers, 2 rocket launchers, 1 fridge, 1 cargo box and an 02 station. With 2 RCS and multiple engines she's incredibly agile and fast (acceleration) and her 2 fuel tanks can keep her floating for up to almost 3 entire hours. I'm not entirely content with the design as of yet but I thought she looked good enough for a small showcase. PS: the picture in space is a slightly older picture where she had multiple cargo boxes; I scratched those but the rest remains the same.
Continued building the interior of CV 'Voyager X' - sample screenshot from one of the sections (garden/research area):
Had one of the best game nights yesterday ---------------------------------------------------------- 'The Rise of Mad Scientist' (Part I) ---------------------------------------------------------- Me and my friend @Alchimeriste decided to test Voyager X, a scientific/exploration CV, in an atmosphere. We landed one of our small ships on the Voyager X in order to dock it: I started the engines. Slowly, but steadily, Voyager X, started moving away from its native Asteroid Station. But the speed was not sufficient so I decided to enter the gravity field of Omicron to use it as a slingshot towards Akua: With each km getting closer to Akua I kept on thinking 'Will we make it? Will we crash onto the surface?'. But we had no other choice - the moment when I began to have second doubts we were already in the gravity field of Akua - the planet's core pulled us in. After few nervous seconds of atmospheric entry we were able to breathe easily - we did not crash! The entry was successful! 'The view is amazing!' exclaimed Alchimeriste: 'Indeed', I replied. Suddenly something went wrong...Navigational panels started beeping, the alarm went off... Then I saw....
---------------------------------------------------------- 'The Rise of Mad Scientist' (Part II) --------------------------------------------------------- Then I saw... We were heading towards the planet pole!!!! 'How could I let myself go blind' I thought, desperately trying to change the course. Then I noticed that the vertical thrust was simply not powerful enough to avoid the collision. The worst had happened - we crashed on the surface. @Alchimeriste and I went to assess how much of structural damage was made: This was really our lucky day - we landed in the water so no severe damage was taken We decided to get back to space: 'What's the next destination Captain?' my friend asked. 'We're going to Omicron Moon!' I exclaimed. Little did we know what challenges lay for us ahead...
---------------------------------------------------------- 'The Rise of Mad Scientist' (Part III) --------------------------------------------------------- Little did we know what challenges lay for us ahead... Remember that SV we docked on top of Voyager X? Well, it turned out that you cannot really 'dock' a SV and enter the atmosphere - we lost it It was a glorious ship which @Alchimeriste had made. Rest in peace 'AWE Bakounine'.... -------------------- Where we were? Ah yes, the journey to the Moon. After some time we entered Omicron Moon. The view was just amazing: We flew almost halfway across the planet when the engines started failing - the fuel was gone!!! 'I think we found structural damage from that collision on Akua, Captain - there are holes in the fuel tanks!' said Alchimeriste after checking the engine room. 'Damn! We need to fix it as soon as possible! this is a PvP planet!' I thought. After some time we managed to fix the tanks and filled them with promethium packs. We decided it was enough for today and headed back to space. A view with 'pale blue dot' emerged: Small step for an Empyrionean, huge leap for UPL faction! I was admiring the view when Alchimeriste exclaimed: 'Houston, we have a problem!'...
---------------------------------------------------------- 'The Rise of Mad Scientist' (Part IV) --------------------------------------------------------- We are under attack! From the black void of space emerged a fighter and immediately opened fire on us. 'Fighter, identify immediately! How dare you attack a scientific expedition!' shouted @Alchimeriste through short range communications. A banner emerged - it was a ship named "Curiosity". 'With such actions that fighter shames the name he bears!' I said. The fighter was pressing on us. I had no other choice but to try to exit the atmosphere immediately. With each new hit we were desperately running out of time - it will be the matter of seconds if that fighter hits our FTL drive. I made a hard decision. 'Alchimeriste! Set jump coordinates outside the planet! Execute immediately!' .... Seconds later we were in the orbit. 'Damn!' shouted my friend. 'That fighter is still on our tail!' The chase continued... 'Evasive maneuvers!' 'We had a major hit, Captain!' 'Damage report!' 'Aaarrrgh, they hit the FTL drive!' 'Damn! What about the sublight engines?' 'They're intact!' I was desperately trying to evade the devastating shots of pulse lasers that fighter was throwing at us. Don't exactly remember how long it took like this - us flying in sinusoidal trajectory to evade shots and that fighter keeping the pressure on the Voyager. Luckily, the fighter must have received new orders from his superiors - he decelerated as we were quickly leaving the solar system: 'I think it's safe to stop here' I said. 'Let's assess the damage taken.' There was minor damage to one of the gravity rings. We also lost some of our solar panels: Unfortunately for us, the fighter had hit the medbay - one of the O2 sections to be precise. The chain explosion blew a hole on one side of medbay and crew quarters below: 'It's a mess' I said. 'Agree' replied Alchimeriste. 'Well, at least crew will have a brand new view from their quarters now " And we were lucky - the fighter almost blew our generators! ............... After some time we were able to repair all the damage that was taken. 'What now Captain?' 'We will rise, Alchimeriste. Rise upon our enemies and bring wrathful vengeance upon them!!! They don't know yet what a mad scientist can do!!!' .......................... THE END (or to be continued?)
Great report ! Sorry i m not here for help you, but i can help you for the next step... I start to equip with war paint, armor and guns my vessel.
His name was AWE Bakounine, not AWE Bayonnaise nor Mayonnaise For information. it weighed only 8,5o t. and I have fly with only 5 minutes for a routine test before losing .. a lot of hours of building wasted to see it immediatly disappear, I always look to find him since.. Very discouraging, the sixth ship I lose without being able to use them.. for the moment its just impossible to try something on this game. Too muchs bugs should to be corrected before building advanced vessels. In preAlpha its better to make some flying bricks..
