I do not know if I want .. I do not want to fall in love with this new game.. Im crazy you know, if the game is as evolved as beautiful as that .. ..what will I become? EDiT: oky I download.. EDiT: Ok its done, can I test the vehicles created or ..?
THE TECH DEMO IS VERY DICY , a bit confusing but thats given that early into development , but Its a very extensive and beautiful building system
Confusing, complex.. ..so good! A lot of possibilities with these modular blocks, but at the same time very intuitive! I tested, I loved .. this project is very ambitious, I made a kind of buggy with wheels.. wow.. Thanks [or not] for this information Now my wife is really going to leave me.. ok, now I will return to play with this project
Empyrion better watch out It has wheels, tracks, mining apparatus, clear glass, piping system, so much more blocks, a live cockpit UI...and and wait for it....Solar panels!
check their "advisers" group on facebook , that Promo is not live yet , its just for the group members join it . Im certain once it releases its gona set the stage on fire . Iv never been more pumped up about a project . not even when no mans sky was announced
Uh huh...and eat this game alive. Their engine makes this game's engine look like Play-Doh or some child's art. The only saving grace I see Empyrion has is the huge ships....but then again, I don't know if the other game has plans for much much larger ships. I doubt it since all of the materials that's out seems to center on personalized looking ships, ie not much larger than a corvette.
Visually stunning. I hope the developers here are inspired by this game. I see a lot of things that could be wonderful additions to Empyrion. The trees and dense flora are very pretty.
^ slow down guys , visuals are not a problem at all , they come way later down the road and im sure empyrion would be a stunning game once its gameplay is set in stone but i must admit this game planet-nomads has me more excited than no mans sky which is nothing more than a walking simulator as we all know now . On top of that its even more beautiful than that and has empyrions survival keep your eyes open and joint their facebook advisers group , upcoming reveal trailer is there , its AWESOME!
Devs of Empyrion are serious and reactive, they work alot for the best..and for the worst . I suspect them of wanting to seduce the young population, casuals or Minecraft population : an easy game, accessible, approximate [WTF tech tree].. I thought this game would be more adult, I realize that what counts is the popularity more than quality. I do not want a casual game, I want a real simulation of survival, with dreams and lot of background and profoundness, I would like an ambitious project. When I see old and new suggestions I can see those accepted and those never treated or requested by the community. And now... the multiplayer mode prealpha is an new example: restriction of creative freedom, abundance of resources, raw PvP system without subtleties [what this WTF table of Kills..]. I know the game is scheduled for solo, but why Devs makes a stupid multi with stupids features against or for stupids cyber-monkeys? When I see this new game, Planet Nomad, I think that they have taken the best of Empyrion to achieve a finer level of quality. In this duel we'll see who won the most players who won the most adult / imaginative players. For now, Tech tree, table of kills, anti-griefs measures its a pack of **** for stupids childs. Im not a child. I am a old gamer, a retro gamer who likes and know the ancients challenges. I played Deux Ex [2000, Warren Spector], Robinson Requiem [1994, Simlarils], Civilization / Colonization [1991 / 1994,Sid Meier], a lot of occidentals RPG, a lot of simulation, a lot of Sci-Fi games, Blood [1997, Nick Newhard] etc etc... My office is full of those games, I still play theses hits, because they are better than the current crap. I can not know what will look like EGS in one year, I just see comments here on this forum or players In Game, I see people who ask an easy game - ohhh please its to hard to do this its boring to do that oh pleassse - but I begin to see the differences between EGS and the future Planet Nomad. I have alot of proposals waiting for EGS, I stand, I dont want to flood the forum more. But, but if the game evolves by being more accessible and caricatural I think to change my horizon. What is important is: what is the game that most dreams? The Devs are not guilty, maybe their community is : we have a responsability. Mine is to want a real game, a realistic survival with a real challenge, with a real scenario and a complex gameplay. No a fucking tech tree for idiots, no a stupid experience system for casuals.
^ i could not have said it any better ! my lack of good English some how gives people here an impression that im hostile or something. and almost always i am attacked by some 15 year old defending the game when i never attacked it in the first place , people cant seem to have debates here with out loosing their temper or with out misinterpretating a persons tone on the god dam web
It looks good but I cannot stand the colour palette being used, GRAV has it and I don't play that anymore (mainly because I got bored with it) No mans sky has it and because of that I may not be getting it either. Now onto Empyrion. The greater community wanted progression, the devs introduced a tech tree a lot of us said no, we wanted skill based player progression do x and skills related to x improve as passives. The tech tree we would have preferred to have to go find it, raid the titan wrecks, alien bases etc... The devs are doing a wonderful job listening to the majority of the player base, better than other devs I have had to deal with in Early Access games. I will also say this Planet Nomads goes into Early Access in Q1 2016, I bet that by the time it drops for EA, Empyrion will be either out of Pre-Alpha or just about to go to Alpha, with host of improvements, and features. Maybe even the solar panels?, automated mining structures, Hyperdrive capable CV, better combat systems, Live HUD's. We have to keep in mind Empyrion is in Pre-Alpha. I am sick to death of procedural generation as feature, it feels lazy when it's used. Sure procedural generation at the start when are just building the game, but then once you find a set you are happy with lock it down, and enter in your POI's etc... have it fixed, that's what I do like about ARK it's the same island across all servers. But yeah.
the point is , the way procedural generation is used in no mans sky and now planet nomad is something never done before , or with this detail in a game . also would be a shame to give up one of the most promising upcoming titles due to color palette HERE is the trailer , also updated on the first post . Has me pumped up , esp the ending part
Well, it is true that the color palette is over saturated which leaves you with a rather surreal feeling...like being in a vivid but fantastical dream. One look and you know for a fact that the world in front of you is just a fantasy and not something real....So, the color palette does put up a barrier and break some immersion as in the real world things are not that bright everyday.
Yep pretty much this, I find it hard to focus and also I find any game with this colour palette garish and ugly, and immersion breaking.
Nothing a mod or two can't fix though. Skyrim has plenty of mods that either boost or tone down the color scheme and ssaturation.
