Hi Thanks for the new windows they're great but there is no connecting windows only straight edge ones. Is there any chance that we could get a no edge window for windows E /F / G ? (corner windows) also a one edged windows for the same? Photo's are examples of why. Thank you for your consideration.
I saw this in the other thread, I'll work on the other two, the frameless diagonal is done, the other two follow from the pics but maybe a mock up will keep it in their minds better? you never know... I'm gonna make HWs with only one side bordered cause then in combination you can have what looks like a supporting structure and get around the possibility of objections to it's not physically reasonable.
I'm uncertain what the heck that shape even is...my first look, I thought in context it was some weird symmetry plane error. If you can give me two orthogonal sides (perpendicular) I'd have a better chance seeing what the heck that is...on the upside, as soon stable is out, I should see the ramp names and pics...which would help.
Well, I had a good weather day for taking out the blocks I've been making animations of today. I took a break from windows, and relearned what phong shading was, cause only I can mess up something that simple; and I thought of a new block. I also thought of glass versions of the tubes and thinking of some containers for aquariums or liquid storage of some type(s). This is my pillbox window...I'm gonna make more "scifi" door openings, and I thought of this shape too... I think large blocks are 3m³.
@Jeffglobal I simplyfied it a little, with both combinded you should be able to see it, if not i will draw a sketch for you.
And now thinking doorways, proposed as shapes or added fixtures as an example: I'm thinking I'll have to render multipasses and comp in Ae, or Resolve, and that would be going into way higher production value than I expected for reasonable results! Still trying to comp into an ingame pic or video... Anyone have any suggestions for doorway shapes? I'm definitely doing the iris one, but there are far fewer doorway shapes portrayed in Scifi that I expected before researching it. You've got, circular, diamond, variations of the doorway above, and that's about it...if you look at Star Trek, Star Wars, Aliens, and a few less well know films, surprisingly few. Maybe games have more choices?
I went through as many blocks I could today trying to make a grid off all the possible connections (at least primary). I found 2 blocks had a smoothly covered face, which is inconsistent with all the other blocks, so I colored them red. The polygon was closed with a "close polygonal face" but needs to have the surface cut once to get the facet in both cases. There were three or so blocks that have UV map errors and make the color by face, not color by face... one of them that has two triangles separated, is a clear uv map stack mistake, but the others, idk how the Unity engine handles it...those are colored in yellow. The others that I started to match are colored in orange, and the faces of the matching blocks have their faces that match also colored orange... I used a workshop asset made by Ramachandra, in this example, cause I like his stuff and it's big and flat and I didn't want to build something so big and flat (!) Time to build some ships now, after a nap..!
Just in case the other guy that's dying for that same block didn't see it in the forum. By doing so, he also got confirmation someone at Eleon saw that block and maybe it'll be included someday...
I miss an important block for me. I'm not sure if the block has already been proposed here. In addition, the Block Ramp Connector D has the wrong bend for me. I hope you can see what I mean in the picture.
Yes it was. On page one of this thread: Well i can't. I see the bend but i don't see/know how you want it different. Maybe @Jeffglobal can help you.
