Don't be afraid to make her larger. I agree with the 3 high spacing feeling claustrophobic. I want to adopt a 4 high minimum in hallways and maybe 5-6 high in the rooms. IMO, just make her larger the cost is insignificant. The extra space will be nice to doll her up better than before.
I tried it before, and I found out that the game will replace the sloped pre-alpha blocks with square ones. Even if there was a way to replace a sloped block with a sloped block using the console, I do not know it the game would match the orientation. I already reference the localization file when updating pre-alpha blueprints. Sadly, the -alpha4 command does not work on blocks that were retired before Alpha 3 came out.
Hello all, its been awhile. RL takes charge at times. Been away from steam/Empyrion for about 6 almost 7 months. Its amazing how much the game has changed in that time. I am in a process of updating some of my ships (and learning how all this new stuff works). I decided to start with the Mantis, which was I believe my first submission when I first stated playing. I made this in Landmark in 2014 and made a modded version called the Escape for an RP event the community was putting together. I was "escaping" beta as the game went live. I know Empryion has a lot of work before the game can go live, but Alpha 10 feels really strong to me (probably because I missed the previous update as well). So I decided to rework the Mantis to create the Mantis Escape. In other news. I was looking at how many people were playing last night, I think it was around 5700. I never saw Empyrion have that many at the same time (could have, but I never observed it), so congrats Empyrion. Well done! Anyway, here is the Mantis Escape. Complete rework inside and a special thanks to @ravien_ff (and the original author) for making the tutorial on using syntax on the LCD panels. I think Escape looks really cool on my ships plaque, could not have done it with out you guys! So anyway, that's what I did in Empyrion today (and yesterday). https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1779492184

the downvote brigade is back lol time to continue building and let Xcals community kick there asses like usual
I have already gotten 10 on my Mantis. All within 3 hours. What do you mean by "Xcals community kick their asses"?
I don’t condone downvoting within Empyrion as everything is cosmetic and doesn’t break gameplay to justify a downvote. I also don’t encourage downvoting in any capacity. The Workshops structure and format is severely broken across any game, not Empyrion alone. I would ask that no one downvotes, but that’s a bit far fetched. I will only say, anyone who downvotes out of any symbolic gesture torwards myself, is severely misplaced as to what Me and My Community are about. If Pyston wants to post new builds or updated builds, I’m all for it. There are many that can benefit and gain inspiration from what he produces, including Myself, as He is one of my direct inspirations in the beginning of my workshop. The side affect is what comes with each Pyston rollout. A huge spike in negative votes are seen across the workshop. Pyston himself has received 10 as he’s stated above. Many have claimed the same. Wouldn’t it be fun if we could simply enjoy Player created content, without the drama? See what makes the front page solely on the merits of the builds attraction. I know the system is severely unbalanced. Upvotes aren’t genuine either. I get it. My only issue is that downvoting discourages expression and motivation to build and create. It’s driven away a many a skilled Designer. I’m not here to drudge up past conflict or point fingers any which way. There’s room for EVERYONE on the workshop. That means Pyston, Rucky, JRandall, CrazyZ, Tactician, Jennipher, etc etc
ive gotten 12 on my tachi and it wasent even on top of workshop, and xcal is a builder like you but built a community like ZeroG to hang out with
100% agreed my friend, who ever is doing it, to say the least its annoying, but shouldent stop anyone from building, if so they have won.
Welcome back Pyston. I'll repeat myself again... Until Steam fixes their crap, I still consider Steam Workshop Likes & Dislikes 'non-canon' & disregard its readings for tactical purposes. Mind ya i'm not about to say no to Likes on my stuff, but I just view the Likes/Dislikes System as unworthy of taking seriously as TF2.
Yep, the 'moment' my ship hit front (only 'checked' because of comments)... 4 downs… (within 5 hrs) Not as much as I used to get, and the likes outweight the downs nowadays (usualy) This said, thank you @XCaliber 's Brigade
The only time I have downvoted anything on Steam is when I know it is a re-upload of someone else's work. Other games out there are bad with copy cats etc. For this game, I have so far yet to give a downvote.
I've started work on a new mid-to-late game CV to replace my old CVE-4 design. I had an old uncompleted model for a heavy-lift engine nacelle and decided to try to salvage/make something from it... Still not completely sure where this is going design-wise
Lets keep this thread back on subject and not make it into another rantfest about weh-weh-downvotes. Even though that all seems to come up time and again whenever a certain someone rejoins the community after rage quitting.
Well I for one have subscribed to Pyston's ship and I will take it for a test drive later on after I have my wife settled for the evening. So those are my plans for the evening. As to steam voting I never look at it. I know what I like and dislike I don't need anyone to tell me how to think
Started a beautiful new survival game to take a break from the abandoned: Then somehow an intruder sprang up in our midst? Haha; had me audibly exclaim "What the hell?" Anywho, was a great little camping excursion, now on to the business of asserting my will on the gala... *cough* I mean, exploring this new and fascinating frontier... then a scorpion decided to moon me: and this is a phenomenal soundtrack for exploring:
LOL! Yeah, I was going to use Jen's new little zippy Spectre X-1, but then I managed more resources than I expected so I am jumping right to Mouse. Still, was a wonderful scene.
