"Today's" SV: Tomorrow: * Hull decor * Interior It's still not the SV i'm aiming for, having several 'ideas' I want it to have.. But at least it's a not too bad for practice, and I hope an acceptable Interpretation of that Hunger Games ship (they call it hover, though).
I'm not even sure why the downvote function exists on the EGS workshop. Doesn't really serve much purpose. If people enjoy a build, it generally gets some traction regardless of who the uploader is (provided some half-way decent screenshots are attached). I think I'm somewhat proof of that because I barely post anything and am not considered a 'big name builder' by any stretch, but I can still grab a slot on the top weekly BPs occasionally. Personally I pay less attention to who is posting and focus on the actual build itself. The politics and drama of the workshop gets rather petty. People tend to place a great deal of emphasis on downvotes / views and perhaps lose sight of how fun and rewarding creative enterprise can be. I love zenning out with some music in the background and just fiddling with Space Legos, even if the majority of what I build doesn't end up on the workshop.
My only response to the up and down-vote systems on STEAM WS (or anywhere else) is: Making the BP your *Favorite* (or not) is "Vote" or appreciation enough for the creator of the BP. This is still a private entertainment and not a Business we do here - besides of all this Vessel-Building-Companies in the Workshop
Cobbled together an SV of the BP factory and been exploring... It is fun to remember how much content this game does have. After hopping to the desert with its plateaus and the Swamp planet with its.... gosh, everything, I finally made it to the/an Ice planet with its wonderful .51g - also saw what I think is an Ice moon in orbit and I have not actually seen the ice moon. So that is my next objective, autominers and more exploration. Think I will add some of these to the epic screenshots thread.
I finished updating BAO_PF2 and uploaded the blueprint into the BA thread. The whole thing is armored steel now, and I believe I replaced all the legacy blocks/devices. (I think I will leave the texturing / coloring to folks who are not color-blind.)
Still plugging away at Nexus Station when I'm in the mood to build which hasn't been often lately. Some screenies Spoiler A shot of the hallway in the habitat ring containing the crew quarters. There's about 56 rooms I need to design and populate at the moment, hence my procrastination. After I'm done with these I need to redo a bunch more on the city level. A shot of the mall area in the second habitat ring. I'm making good use of the new block shapes and double doors. Those double doors are fantastic for entrances to shops, the stadium, and other areas. Looking out from one of the lounge areas in the casino. Another shot looking outside.
Probably not an intended behavior... but makes me wonder if Unity can benchpress making of Critters that CAN do this kinda Shenanigan on purpose...
*Falls out of chair laughing* I was poking fun at X's comment yesterday, but this made my day. It is an awfully small tent...
Was busy doing some interior: Spoiler: Images A Rescue SV with: (Vessel to Rescue up to 6 Players ) * CV Warp * CV Food Processor (Medics) * HV Med Station * HV Clone Chamber MV & 3g Capable with Cargo, despite the CV Warp drive which weights 10 times of the SV warp engine.
Today I restarted the T4-Albatross remake for the 3rd time, and I actually got some great progress going. I'm aiming to have more of a dropship focus with her now, the idea is to have a bit of a cargobay underneath the central wing with drop seats in there. 'That is not to say I'm giving up the bomber idea. Why not both? Edit: Also, for the first time, I wrote albatross correctly. Only took me like 2 years. Always wrote it the dutch way, not knowing the english version was different.
Fractalite exits the tent. As the flap pulls aside, the faint but familiar melodies of Barry White can be heard within...
