Have finished my first pure fighter that stays within the 7500 CPU limit Can't make up my mind about witch colortheme looks better.. Midwinter: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1784250546 Oasis: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1784249856
Today I made a custom config to help make caves. A small group of cultists make this crystal cave their home. The awesome thing about these cave blueprints is they adapt the texture of the biome they're spawned in, so you can change their look just by putting them in a different biome or planet.
@ravien_ff : Thank you. Beautiful! Now a bit of dripping blood on the walls and ceiling so the cultists can feel at home
The player version of Luark Station is online, I hope Luke likes what I did with it. (and does not ask me to delete it.) The SV bays are now pressurized, and I greatly expanded the lower landing platform so that a small CV can land on it. A lot of the devices were updated, and I removed a lot of unneeded blocks from the interior. Feedback is always welcome.
LOL My wife is the first to say I can't even make the color red look good! She always textured any worlds or objects we made in our studio.
I think I tend towards Oasis a bit more. Do you have a Blue and Yellow version as well? That.... is such an interesting surface. So very rich! Do you have any more pics? God I love the effect of those torches in the caves. When I discovered that during the smugglers stuff I had to physically restrain myself from just placing them everywhere. Keeping them in the fewer number adds such a... such a... hidden but moving scene. Love it! I think maybe I will take another plunge back into Eden today... RS it is hard to tell what I am looking at... any chance for another pic but slight askew or at an angle? Your base creates a visual illusion that makes it difficult to discern dimensions.
Finally came up with a flying bridge/pilot house design I'm relatively happy with. This is a secondary bridge used for local flights or anytime you need an elevated perspective on the surroundings: Getting closer to finished...
I had an thought while I was working on it, the devs are busy adding new content and squashing bugs. I'm willing to bet they have little time to rebuild legacy assets like the ClusterDrone. Maybe start a thread where the community rebuilds them for the devs? I changed the paint from brown to blue, but I also tried to match the colors and textures in the center room from the original. I am a red/green colorblind, blue is an easy color for me to see. It's also the reason many of my builds are somewhat plain. This help? The uncolored layer between the two blue layers is a ring with rooms encircling the main room in the center. The bottom blue layer is also an area the original builder left empty. I hid a few devices in it and there is a switch in the room with the gravity generator that will open some trap doors in the elevator shaft and grant access. In the POI version (in the base thread) there are also two NPC spawners that generate 5 assassins each, they are only released if the player throws the switch. I wanted to creep players out with monsters they could hear but not find. I also put two traps in that area in the POI version.
That could be an interesting task! Both pictures together give a good idea about the station size and features. The blue and white/grey looks cool. Love it for my self, too. Ok, resisted to simply take standard colors from preset 2. The Midwinter and Oasis are standard in that preset. This two are handchanged now: Leftside is Royal Harvest and to the right is Blue Moon If they match your idea i upload them!
Those are nice! They kinda remind me of some of the ships in no mans sky. Kinda that style. On first glance those look like 3D models, not ships made in a block game! Well done on the texturing and coloing. now if we only had "no step" symbols, "caution" symbols, "warning" symbols.....muggghhhaaaaaa
Ok. So been working on a new build and I needed to suspend some lights and decided to use the new wall pillar block (not sure of its actual name). I am not sure if this was intentional or a happy accident....but it would be AMAZING if the new wall blocks got this same treatment. So, take note of this screenshot. The pillar can be textured on 4 different surfaces. The tops and bottoms are mirrored, but you can texture the center pole, the collars, the feet and the feet supports all separately. Imagine the possibilities if the walls were set up the same way. Anyway many thanks and kudos to the artist. Well done sir or maam, well done!
