If you open your playfield yaml in the epd there is a playfield difficulty in the very top left. It’s like the second setting down. This will apply an ‘up to’ level to your mobs. (Aka if you set it to 4 you will get mobs ranging from 2 to 4).
I spent 3 hours flying around a class 5 planet trying to find a fat cluster of resource deposits to automine, then I went back to my home in space only to have it nuked by an update. Now I'm flying around that planet in circles to try and find ore in space for the next 3 hours. fml.
Was flying around the solar system with my CV looking for a planet with Zaschosium ore. After i found one way on the other side (it was a lava planet) and went through a few jumps, i boarded my SV and went down... I was a bit surprised when my vessel came literally crushing down against the surface. I couldn't lift off, not to mention move in any direction. Checked on the stats that it has 4g of gravity... Additionally, i landed in a small hole (landscape had high hills) and between 2 Zirax defense POIs. They didn't shoot, but the drones did. Taking them out was a breeze, although the acid rain quickly depleted my HP. As this game was without M&V, i took everything from the containers, took off a number of different things to finally retrieve two side thrusters and put them down for lifting power. Managed to somehow lift off and slowly ascend towards space, maneuvering like a lunatic with absent thrusters from two directions. After landing inside my CV, i took a deep breath and looked down upon my ruined SV. Small little bugger, but it withstood quite a few shots from the drones, as well from crash landing. I eventually travelled to another planet, checking if it had around 1g of gravity to dig up some Zaschosium. My trusty SV just needed a little repair and managed to take me down and back up to space again. Gotta say that was the toughest, yet most interesting first encounter with a high gravity planet i had in any game. I also had a thought of landing with my CV on that first planet, luckily i decided on my standard tactic of using an SV...
If you are in Singleplayer and you want to save you some time ...open console, type in map...this reveals all Deposits and POIs on the Planet
Use a switch to toggle an LCD's power, use 2 switches for up and down. And by 'powering up' the LCD's the Empyrion Scripting Mod gets activated... Voila.. At least in Theory, just the support (API) is needed
I did almost exactly the same thing when I found my first high g lava planet. I had limited resources onboard my little scout Sv and no cv. I had to take most of it apart to make enough thrust to get airborne. When I landed back at home base it was a very sad sight to see it sat there on the pad. Great experience though.
Trying myself at a space base… I have built like 5 of them already, but their all POI's I wanted something smaller.. or at least, more practicly usable… Well... nevermind… it's 'class' 19 already
Just wanted to fill it with air… now look at this.. I'm confused by this view.. very much so! This is the 2nd vent for this room, doesnt seem to help at all...
Ooook figured… I had a simple hole... But didnt it usualy just not fill the room AT ALL if there was a single hole ANYWHERE in earlier versions?
hmmm… not sure on that. Had a smaller base with the same issue (not mine ; Outpost Cordelia) which sure is ALOT smaller. And I did NOT have this issue with my MAUL (that class 141 CV, where several class 10 CVs can park in) - but then again that was in an earlier Version.... idk..
So, with these latest versions I no longer experience the micro stutter that plagued me for the last few versions And I'm having a blast with what we can do with the new thrusters..... My new Brammo Buzzard - Hoverbike, test drive..... For some moments here and there it feels almost like the Dragonfly from SC, what a rush....
