Hey fellow Empyrionites, Not sure if that's the right term but it sounds good. The name's cailean_556. I discovered Empyrion about 3 days before the Kickstarter ended and sadly I couldn't put anything towards it (had nothing, literally). The premise behind Empyrion caught my imagination, ground vehicles, fighters and shuttles and capital vessels...flying around on planets and taking on alien bad guys... I was very disappointed when the Kickstarter was unsuccessful and I resolved that if I won the lottery, I would fund the whole project (still working on the 'winning the lottery' part). When I noticed Empyrion on Steam, took me about a week of um'ing and ah'ing to make up my mind, but in the end I couldn't say no to that little voice in my head. I even bought a copy for my friend. Being able to explore new worlds and engage in ground, air and space combat is a massive draw card. The ability to make (with enough skill) my favourite starships is an added bonus. I'm a big fan of B5, Star Wars and Star Trek, even BSG (old and new, but mostly new). As time goes on and I get better with these blocks, I'll hopefully produce a ship everyone thinks is cool enough to fly. Looking forward to what Empyrion and its Devs have in store.
