Which Segment of the Titan has the engineers, I have found the front (couple of containers and bridge to destroy for materials), the middle (stupid amount of digging for a couple of containers), haven' t found the rear yet, but shouldn't there be something to make the digging on front and rear worth it? ( Love the Defense Bases, just decom the large generator for some rare loot)
The rear section has large Thrusters and Directional Thrusters. The Middle section has a crapload of Directionals. Between the two I ended up with 80 Flux Coils. The only problems is that you will have to dig, the majority of the directional thrusters are on the bottom.
guess I will just keep digging, so you say that they are underneath the middle section? On the sides or in the middle?
Spaced out in a row. They'e in recessed sections, so if you find one, just keep digging along the recess and you'll find the rest in that row. I found it easier if I installed a core/gene/fuel tank and used the power to run lights where I was digging. Which also lets you know what you have left to find. And then you salvage off the gear and rebuild it for another section.
I tried this, but unfortunately there were a few triceratops on that tiny island, and they kept knocking my pod around. Too early in the game (and too close range) to shoot them,so I killed the save before the first sunset. Maybe I will try again.
You should, first thing I would do in that scenario is drop my base block and build a small temporary wall around my ship.
Using 110277 ... EASY to remember, as it´s mah B-day LOL ... Guess a LOT are doing that ? Anyhow.... Starting point, is nice, and quiet... Theres a Dino who likes to wrestle the wrecked SV, but, it´s somewhat ok... can just kill it i guess. First night: LOADS of eyeballs Second Night: PRAY you made the gun and the bullets, if you didn´t allready hall a@@ to go find a good spot. Resources: Iron: 7 Cobalt: 6 Copper: 6 Silicon: 5 Promethium: 5 Magnesium: 4
I quite liked this seed, the alien POIs ended up right next to each other (on the other side of the planet) 3 defence bases, 1 factory, 1 energy station, also the MS titan and Talos were within spitting distance of each other. Magnesium was a little far off (and only 3 of them) but very easy seed to get started, specially if you bury your base in the side of the hill
Seed: 872118 Description: Excellent starting spot, four deposits right in your spawn area. Iron (size 8), Magnesium (size 6), Promethium (size 7), and Cobalt (size 9). Screenshot:
Yup, good find!! Been playing on this seed for a few days now. Good starting point and not overly far away from the titan rear and mid sections. It also has a couple of npc bases close to the titan wreck if you feel brave enough to place a secondary base in a hillside nearby.
A challenge: Seed 964794 Start on Omicron. Find Cobalt. I foolishly depleted my starting supply of Cobalt and thus depleted my supply of metal components and could make no GV or SV to explore, so I had to walk. And I did. A lot. And I did not find Cobalt. I found a XENU temple and took theirs and built a small SV to explore with and eventually found Cobalt on Omicron. try it. Find cobalt on foot, on omicron, in 964794. Good luck.
Well, I have to say, the new troopships make seeds with close-by NPC bases and POIs rather more risky!
Akua : 893542 There's an Epsilon Power Station in view from the starting location. Easy quick base in a nice spot on the shore of a channel. On the way to the station you'll pass 2 silicon deposits, 1 cobalt and 2 iron (near the power station). Beyond the power station is a weapons factory, so something nearby to play with later.
nearly perfect starting seed: Akua 473403 all ressources except Promethium directly on starting point, next to a big lake, lots of corn dogs and stuff.
Is it realy supposed to generate exactly the same terrain map and ore deposits? Because I have created 4 maps using the seed 735309 and every time the terrain is the same, but the ore deposits are different.
902902 - Iron, Copper, Silicon, Promethium 908609 - Iron, Copper, Silicon, Magnesium 20146 - Iron, Cobolt, Copper, Silicon (x2) Visible from the start on Akua.
