I still cannot tell if there is an "Extender" block OR an "Extender Tier 1" block, "Extender Tier 2" block, and "Extender Tier 3" block.
Okay, I'm changing terms for the sake of clarity. There's a Core = TIER 0 There's a Core and 1 Copper Extender = TIER 1 There's a Core and 2 Silicon Extenders = TIER 2 There's a Core and 4 Gold Extenders = TIER 3 -OR- There's a Core = TIER 0 There's a Core and 1 Extender = TIER 1 There's a Core and 2 Extenders = TIER 2 There's a Core and 4 Extenders = TIER 3 Which?
This. There are separate tiers of extender blocks. For example to activate tier 4, you need four tier 4 extenders.
Okay, got it. Phew. Thanks. Maybe I shouldn't make suggestions, but to me it makes more sense to always allow for the placement of 4 Extenders - one for each face of the Core. Then scale the CPU capacity based on how many of each tier were attached to the Core and ditch the notion that there are both Tiers to the Extenders AND the final configuration. EDIT: Changed 6 to 4 ... easier to surround an already placed Core, otherwise it would have to be hovering, or other building shenanigans.
Sorry if this has already been asked, but are there any plans to add a "group" warping function for CVs? Since CPU is encouraging specialization, it doesn't seem like an all-in-one CV will be practical (or even possible depending on its size). This may not be a large problem for the multiplayer crowd, but in singleplayer there's only one person, and it's impossible to fly multiple CVs at the same time, much less warp to another system (obviously ) If this feature, or a similar one, was implemented, I assume it would require a new kind of block, and drain more pentaxid depending on the amount of ships warping.
Speak and be heard, brother. Speak and be heard. Equally awkward is the notion that I will BOTH have a (non-mobile) base AND explore extensively.
Turned out that all this time the Devs viewed our huge ass do everything in one Ships as OP Godmode. Has yet to be seen if this will still be feasible... in exchange for that Creation sucking at everything instead of being good at something. I personally hope so, for i'm for Creation Specialization but at the same time I still think there'd be a market for 'Swiss Army Knife Lone Wolf Explorer' Creations for SP Solo Survival. It's not like the Zirax are bright or difficult opponents anyway... they're only a bother to face against cause of how many different ways they can be Cheating Bastards frankly. *shrug* (& here's to hoping their Cheating Bastard ways disappear by Full Release.) I reject your Reality & substitute my own.
People got that wrong impression because developers said it in the first live stream. A case of the left hand not knowing anything.
And because of those wrong approaches they made a second Q&A to show that they had heard the uproar of the community and are willing to change the whole system. So please calm down. @Hummel-o-War even stated his part of the misconception.
What happens if it is your tier 2 extender that is destroyed and it is your tier 2 extender that provides the connection of the tier 3 extender to the core? As I read the current purposals you would drop to tier 1 because my tier 3 would no longer be in contact with the core. Is that correct as currently planned?
Q: Do I need to place the Extenders touching the core or similar? A: NO. You can freely place any Extender wherever you want. In other words nothing will happen since they dont have to thouch anything or even eachother
I an calm. I am also disappointed that there is no clear vision of what they are doing. If the complete direction of the introduced feature changes just because of outcry from a small but vocal group it is hard to have confidence in any future introductions. It also clearly demonstrates that no one on the development team plays the game for FUN or has a clear understanding of the varied games that are played by players with the framework thay have built. Every server I have played on has been a different game Using EGS as a backbone. I am glad they listen to the community. I just wonder why they do not utilize there closed group testers first? Before exposing the broader group of players to unclear and unfinished changes. This is mostly a PR problem. The PR ball was dropped again.
When the Stream got done we even said that we wernt sure it was going to stay that way. We looked at it today and it gave us allot of issue to implent it this way. So we choice to leave it as it is > and thats this way
I changed my vote to NO as I am unable to keep up with the changes. I think I know how it works than in less than 24 hours it is different. Sorry
