I could use some help. I just replaced my keyboard. I eas in the process of remapping a few keys when I noticed there doesn't appear to be a control for "Hover Boost". It still shows up on the HUD, but I can't find it in the control section of "Settings". It was working yesterday with my old keyboard. Does anyone know what's changed? I would appreciate any help?
Today I finished up the first draft of the alpha 11 update for my scenario! I think I got everything covered but we'll see if any bugs pop up.
Play around as long as it lasts...*sigh*...The A11...sneak peak of the multiple Solar System...messes your System up completely not only the coloring of the Planets, no, but the symbols for them too...hope THAT won't be the final look
Have had fun designing my first hauler sv and CV frigate.... Playing around with them in survival realised I had got them both facing back to front!!! What a nitwit! Ravien your scenario looks amazing... I was going to hang off trying it though until the game is in a more finished state. Want to maximise the exploration wow!
New Land Carrier hovercraft to take advantage of new docking mechanism and transport other hovercraft around: empty: With Assault Tank and 2 smaller HVs
Now that is quite the gorgeous blue marble... Ya know what's missing from this scene? Water Vehicles... especially for Deep Sea Diving... (& Bikini Girls...)
My apologies for the delay in response... Unstable Erratic RL always being a *BLEEP*... To Hover Boost, wait for it to fully charge... on the New Interface, at the lower-right, it's a little circle surrounding what looks like a Nitro Bursting Forward HV, then when it turns Orange, Hold Left Shift + Hold Spacebar. While ya Boost, experiment with WASD & see what we can do now! (I've especially been liking Boosting a bit into the air, then angling the Nose up then suddenly jetting forward! )
Thanks! Is this spelled out somewhere in "Settings/Controls" that I'm just too old to figure out or anywhere else for that matter? Thanks again!
@Tyrax Lightning My thanks were somewhat premature. 1. I don't have the new interface. 2. I don't have a circle, I have a bar that doesn't turn orange. 3. Holding Left shift+Spacebar does nothing beyond raising the HV to 3.0m. at the normal rate of speed. As always, any further ideas will be appreciated. I am totally confused!
I was thinking of a SV to transport 4 defense pods to a new base area. It's fast, and has warp capability. T4 CPU, but I was expecting that. I do not know if I am going to keep it or not....
... Dammit. I forgot that the New Interface is on Experimental... not yet reached Public. >_< I don't remember the old command for it... been playin with the new toys too long...
got some more of my builds updated yesterday and tested more of my land carrier, i plan to make POIs of all my aegis ships too some time
I thought that might be the case. I guess I'll just wait till Monday and see what we've got. Thanks for the input.
I decided to name the new ship the Pelican and started a survival game so I could test it with volume / weight turned on. With 4 combat steel HV defense pods docked it still jumps like a scalded cat on the temperate planet. I had to add another generator, and I am debating on putting a switch in the control panel to turn the large engines off. It is difficult to precisely maneuver with the bottom & rear thrusters so overpowered. It reaches max speed very quickly and I flew past Thermica Station so fast that none of their shots hit. (Heck, it took me a moment to realize that I had flown past it). I did another fly-by on Thermica just for fun then blasted through the mine field. I was past the mines before they exploded. On a side note, how do you turn on volume / weight / CPU in creative? I have many more ships to tweak and test and I do not want to have to put them in a survival game every time I want to test that.
