oh god, can we get a official server without cpu and mass/eight enabled ? theses things is making most of us in official server, sick...
Little update after some good thoughts: Only the Official Public Server will full wipe with the Alpha 11 release! This server can be used to experience the CPU in MP as vanilla as possible. The Official EU + US server will be full wiped at a later stage - and CPU activated on them. (around Christmas)
oh, the full wipe will occur only around christmas for EU and US server ? i think, a11 anouncement and wipe was too close theses days for a real feedback, so if we have another month, we can have better feedback about cpu and m/w. if cpu is not a problem on sv/hv, it will on cv, atm, 10 millions at t4 is not enough, an average pvp ship have 100 millions cpu (that will kill the pvp on this game).... even the first prefab cv cost too much cpu for a starting cv .... any ways or to extend the cpu limit more far or at last, lower cpu cost for devices ? is there any options for us to activate/deactivate cpu till the full wipe in a11 ? so we can adjust our ship better ?
Yes, this was the plan and reason to delay the full wipe for the most populated official servers. There are dedicated feedback topics about that in this forum. Please send your PvP CV to @Hummel-o-War and we can study it. But before make a test: remove ALL RCS from your PvP CV and check again your Tier system. Singleplayer? Turn it off. Multiplayer? EU + US + many servers will turn it off at the beginning. You have time to adapt to CPU. Once you are done with rebuilding your ships and want to test them, play on the "Official Eleon Public/Default/Vanilla" server.
the things is i want to turn it on in solo creative, but i havent see the option to do it this day when i tried the a11 experimental, so i dont know how is the loss of efficiency when i'm over the limits.
Its automaticly turned on in the A11 EXP Creative mode (atleast it should be) if its not then write a bug report
so i gonna basicaly use this mount to modify all my blue print so if possible to raise a bit the solar pannel output on space? at the moment is ridiculus...with the extender energy usage what the point to use solar pannel on space anymore? I mean 102 pu for 14 bigger solar pannel....is not possible to power up anyting.
I second the motion. I left the Official servers in the Summer when I realized mass/vol were not being used. I came back today after the release of A11 to see if that had changed. I see they are not wiping and resetting the US server until Christmas? Guess I will check back then. I understand Eleon wants a safe place for new players. But we need an Official Server with all game aspects in play for regular players. There are hundreds of hand-holding servers out there new players can find. There are very few servers with mass and volume in play.
Has anyone reported the huge amount of lag and stutter during PvP battles? Noticed yesterday, 4 of us were on a playfield while 2 were battling, the 2 fighting were stuttering and lagging badly which was visible by myself and one other but my FPS were still at 70 and my ship and movement were not affected as was the other player not engaged in battle. All had under 100 ping to server. Is this a server side stutter? This happened in Tull orbit but I've noticed similar issues in other PvP areas. Official Server US.
guys, the map is getting worse, most of people complain about not being able to cut a tree or even pick a plants... lagg everywhere, connection lost to playfield every 5 minute or less ... all space POI have a bugged position, or exempel the orbital spire is no more in the asteroid cloud ... the drone base is no more under planet, sometimes, the two of it are nealy merged .... is there any more improvement after the wipe ? like new things ? news poi, gameplay, scenario, etc ? if no, it's maybe a good time to wipe that bugged map... and start a new game with the new map, look like a11 have serious problem with old 10.5 map... or send taelyn to fix all bugg one by one, and give back to the 50 players their lost ship ! or maybe i'm wrong ...
- Not beeing able to pick up stuff will be fixed with a game update - Lag were looking at it where it comes from > so far i havent been able to reproduce it yet - the POIs position is due to the API bug that was earlyer in game. Nothing i can do about it the Christmas wipe fill fix that Its not the map or the save thats the issue. Its the game it self. Were bussy with it all day already
Considering we should be able to use solar in the future at least as well as we can in the year 2019, then it makes no logical sense for solar to not be for powering structures when it can and does do that today on planet Eearth.
I've played two separate times on the Official US Server. Once during 10.x, and again in 11.5 In both cases I've started with the Trader faction. In both cases, I've completed my initial mission to obtain my gear. Both times, I have, through no action I am aware of, immediately become Hostile with Polaris. In the most recent, I completed the first part of my mission, and collected my gear. Ok, no problem. I started on part 2, found the trader NPC, sold him a few Pistol Rounds, which completed that objective, walked outside, immediately became Hostile with Polairis right in front of the Day 1 Hover Bike. I fired no shots, opened no boxes, did not interact with anything, and was immediately Hostile (actually Hostile with all factions, staying away from everyone atm). I do not expect this to be the correct behavior, but I cannot rule out having done something oblivious that it was having some kind of impact. I just cannot fathom what it might be.
I tend to do quite well with solar power - Usually up until the point I am able to build the Deconstructor, Furnace and Shield. Even after, I can usually get by on Solar power only for quite some time with good power management practice. When it finally happens that I go "Ok, I HAVE to build a Generator", a Small generator, kept off most of the time, is usually sufficient for my needs. I typically write a signal logic function to turn on the generator and the high-consumption items (Shield and Turrets) when needed. No, you can't run T4, Always-On base on Solar alone, but you can build pretty close to this level before a generator becomes a must-have item - if you play smart.
