I've been doing some more work on my CV. I think hull shape is more or less complete, starting to detail and texture the outside a little it a bit and work on the inside areas. Full compliment of weapons, tool turret and mining lasers, 4 x 320k cargo, 160k ammo, 160k ore, 4 constructors, currently 54 grow plots, but may add some more and tested in high G (4G+).
---eng---------- Nothing again today! I had loaded Empyrion onto my netbook because my laptop was no longer working and my computer was too heavy for the plane . To get Empyrion to work I have to start it about 10 times. Then I can look forward to 3fps. So I tried a new platform. The "download" doesn't want to start. So it was hot in the area but not enough to get it to steam. Do I need Steam? Well then, I tried to build. There were blocks, but I think there is a problem with the structural integrity ... it seems to be failing. I took a "screenshot" of it and wrote a few comments: ---de----------- Heute wieder nichts! I cleared my starting planet today and also took out the supply station in orbit. So I grabbed most of my stuff and headed out to the next planet. I arrived at Kaxid and began my survey Pretty hostile planet full of Ice Storm Defenses and Missile Bases. Not bad mineral distribution though. After traversing the planet I may lay down roots right were I landed. It's a pretty nice spot with available water, trees and not too far from deposits. Not a bad view from my Garden either I've tested a few spots for solar though and even after going further North I don't seem to get more the 2 bars.
Over a year adrift... and some things have changed ... and some things well they might be different but they still suck.. No Flamethrower still?
I can see the appeal of a flamethrower for cooking spiders and anything else that moves But TBH the shotgun and later rocket launcher mostly does their jobs and there are probably bigger fish to fry.
I'm also still wanting to destroy things with Lightning... we're both disappointed... but alas, such concerns cannot be rushed.
Another day, another WIP leaves the drawing board... So this time a modest sized assault CV (yet to be textured or detailed). Intended for space and planetary assaults. It has a full compliment of weapons and turrets, shields, etc, personal care and some modest comforts (medical, showers for rads, repair for stuff and stuff in its hangar). The hangar can accommodate a pair of full size combat HVs or HV + assault SV or whatever mix suits the job and its good for high-G planets (4G+) even with a near full mixed cargo load. Cargo is 160K each of general, ammo and ore. It is also quite maneuverable so can evade all but homing rockets at space combat ranges. Hull is mostly 2 layer combat steel and more in some places, less in others. Probably 5 or more from any direction to core. I wasn't going to bother with a tool turret or mining lasers, but after blowing something up you probably want to recycle at least some of it, so it got a tool turret and harvest storage. And having got a harvest storage, well made sense to add some mining lasers and a constructor for making fuel and well there was some spare space, so it got a warp drive too... It probably has about the most ugly and messed up nose job - the front is full of lasers/rocket launchers, mining lasers, sentry guns (for hostile breach), landing gear for front docking to a cruiser/carrier or as a convenient way in to a hostile ship or station following a breaching job. Nose into a Zirax space station Entering orbit of a high G world docked to my cruiser (cruiser is about 3x the size, perpective makes it look smaller): Blowing **** up near a Zirax compound - (3 bases all in firing range) And putting the HV to good use using the hangar bay as a firing platform

Not sure if it was around when you played last(my bet is it was) but in the event that is was not, it has greatly expanded and offers bunches more to do, more planets to see, and really challenging starter planet options.
Will do dude... once I rebuild my base level prefabs again.. scrapped them all. This crawl through is getting used to the things I missed in my time away and then build all the things I will need in the future...and Hi Fractalite
Alrighty, another new start. This time; dead planet. Converted this nice little bunker: I usually do not use these bunkers preferring them for the xp, but the radiation almost got me so I had to find an enclosed area. This seed is not pleasant. It does not have any buildings anywhere. On the plus side I was curious about using the new flight mechanic that allows a vessel with sufficient surface area to generate lift: ... and I will grudgingly admit that it is kinda awesome. Still greatly prefer the VTOL that comes from having thrusters on every surface of the bounding box and I am not completely sure this mechanic needed to be added, but whatever, this is a nice cozy way to scout. Now am about to assemble another SV for off-planet exploration.

Well it might not have been "in" Empyrion, but I did have a dream last night that they added aurora to planets.
So, Yeah. In the process of making all my baseline blueprints again from scratch and the first one is of course an hv/sv pad with lights. And that is what I did in game for the day.
Started back up on the Deep Core Mining Facility. The next chapter in the "Dr. Weston" story for my scenario. This POI is meant to be massive, which also means it's going to take a long time to complete building it. *edit* adding some flavor screens.
Well, start with Space Invader, Tic Tac Toe and eventually Pac Man(symbolizing the approaching Zirax Patrol)
I will start, just for the Fun of it, another PE-Game. The current Game will be used as a Creative one for working on the remaining, unfinished Blueprints.
This thing is going to be absolutely massive. I hope I can finish it! I don't want to spoil too much of it but I hope people enjoy it.
