I am not a veteran of the game and I do not know if the game changed and if there are solutions to his problems.
A smart Move for you would be to tell him that if he likes to get help from the Devs he should consider to post his problems in a proper Bug-Report in the appropriate section - Stable Public A11.5 or Experimental A12.X - where he has the best chances to get all those missing bits and bobs back. Or at least the Problem can be looked into by the Staff.
I was not able to figure out if his problems are bugs, to send him directly to the bug section or if are intended changes or something with his environment. As I said, I have little experience with this game. But I posted a link on his thread on steam, to this thread here. So I hope he will see your advice. Thank you
Followed your advice and "told" him to post on the bug section on this forum. I hope he will notice my post.
As he can't attach Client or Log Files to posts in Steam Forum to be checked by the Devs, if necessary, this Forum is still the first, best place to get help.
