Worked on a couple of HVs: First one is a mid game dedicated fighting vehicle (T3,L12) to go with my two new fighters (to the side in first image). Very agile, easy to tilt to aim the gatlings, 3 rocket turrets, 4 mini gun, 4 gatling and shield. In my survival game it made short work of 3 POIs and a bunch of drones close to each other. So a few more tweaks and will stick it on the workshop. The next one was supposed to be a little salvaging HV to go with the others (SV to trash fixed defences, HV to kill everything else and blow **** up, and the salvager take apart the POI). As a test I dropped down a little start CV and preceded to salvage it and as expected it worked really well at(what could go wrong?) right up until it was full in no time at all. I guess my head my head was still used to 11.5 volumes where I remember carting off an entire POI with loot in medium sized SV. Well I was in creative mode, so of course didn't notice when it would have hit the cargo limit really quickly - basically a gravity generator on its own would have done it - ugh So, for a salvager it look like I will need something alot bigger with max 32k capacity and even look like that would be full no time at all. (Maybe it times for CV tool turrets to be allowed for use on planets?) Anyway its a really good fast and agile little HV platform for something else. Might see if I can turn it into a little early game combat vehicle (knew there was a reason why I labelled the combat HV as HF2 instead of HF1...) I present to you the USS Abaddon NX-9666. The idea to create a ship of such a plan came to me thanks to the series Star Trek Voyager. Abaddon is the heir to the USS Prometheus NX-59650, he borrowed a recognizable appearance, but the similarities end there. There are no phaser arcs or photon torpedoes in the Andromeda galaxy, but the enemy is also more powerful in these situations. So I started a new survival game on the temperate planet ... appropriately named "We" as that's what I was saying as my capsule sped to the ground ... "Wheeeeeeee!" Anyone up for a challenge?? Currently L8 so I challenged myself to build a CV from scrapping the Heidelburg. 1. Had to build cockpit (raided a couple of ALN towers for neodymium and took a trip to the moon for cobalt and titanium) and small generator (all generator parts from scrapped Heidelburg items) 2. Scavanged an RCS from a crashed capital ship. Would work without, but turning was horrible .. 3. Ended up building cargo container and extensions from scrapping blocks and items - the ship is primarily made from extensions - 288k SU storage, but I'm not sure current thrusters can handle that volume of dense material (e.g. pentaxid) 4. Scavenged thrusters, O2 system, T2 fuel tank, armor locker, back shutter door (you have to jump to get in), and shutter windows from Heidelburg. They have 1200 HP which makes good armor for L8 so padded the thrusters and front windows. There's a little bit of radiation leakage from nearness to generator and fuel, but hey - a little radiation is good for the soul ... keeps you on your toes . Actually handles pretty decent with the RCS, but I may end up putting on more thrusters and removing due to the fact that it's a CPU glutton. Enough for now, off to pillage, kill, and reek mahem with the Zirax in hopes of finding more thrusters on the downed capital ships. They have been, But I had that thought too so I moved them two blocks forward ad filled the Area with solid Blocks. Another thing I go to try today is to put a second Door behind the Shutter Door and to increase the number of O² Tanks. After that... I will have to scrap it until I find the cause...
Ok...found the issue...Hover Engines were closer to inside than I thought...Not Airtight therefor I had to place them one Row deeper..
It's always the little things that make pressurizing a cabin so annoying. Glad you found the culprit.

Interior finished, texture wise Currently trying to bring it to T3 with Shields and a slight change for the Drone Hatch - which can't use in the current adaptation.
Today, once again, I am processing ships from my collection with a file. Now for gravity 4.21g And a little more glow !!! =) And an additional signal to the SV - turning off and turning on additional engines =)
Today I graded all the ships except for the arrow sr2 to the possibility of takeoff with 5.1G gravity and USS Abaddon even got engines up to 10G Orion SR1 received another modification to 5G And now I'm thinking in creative mode how to make a beautiful ship and at the same time make it functional, but now functionality is not a priority ... because the collection has been prepared for patch 12 at the moment.
Besides of collecting/ salvaging 200-300 tons of stuff I finished the outside texturing of the HV Chariot
Today I continued to modify my mothership and continued to be completely frustrated. There are parts of it I like, but the overall ship is just a box. The bridge turned out well, it's on the top level with a lounge area directly beneath, and the mess hall at the bottom, with an open air glass "cockpit" Spoiler Engineering is a bit cramped so hard to get a good picture(im inside a roof block for this picture), but it looks really cool walking around, Spoiler and the SV hangar is my favorite part. Plenty of space so I'm not constantly getting stuck on stuff. Spoiler but the overall ship is just so boxy, and big. I'm waiting for a spark of inspiration to figure out how to make a ship that does what this is meant to do and also look good. Spoiler I also successfully used the spoiler tag(I hope) to hide all those pictures I just uploaded, which was embarrassingly simple and thanks for y'all that pointed out how. Oh, and I tossed a comment onto Neebs Gaming latest Neebscast that they should play Empyrion, with a shout out for Project Eden as well. So if any of y'all are fans, hop on over there and like the comment or add your own. That could get Empyrion some tasty new exposure if they did a series based on it. I mean, the few episodes they did way back when is how I found this game.
