Yeah, I only use imgur, every other site just gives me problems. I just haven't posted a pic in so long I for got how to And I'm too lazy to change the post again.
Sure, no need to really. I just use it all the time, so I posted how I do it, in case it's usefull for you in future.
After building a CV mainly out of Loot and under some pressure by the need of Fuel, so in a bit of a hurry, I used some time today to fix some miss-conceptions from the Survival Build. Also I cleaned up the outer Lines of this new CV. Still a lot of "Art-Work" needed. CV - LAAT. Stands for Low Altitude Attack Transport - sounds Imperial, yes? You are right! It is. I used a CGI from a great Artist for SW Vessels and Vehicles.
It looks impressive! Do the wings fold? And how many flies and where does it take off? And when you rummage?
That'd be awesome if we had rotors in Empyrion. Every time he went into an atmosphere he could have the "wings" flap up and down
Diar sirs, can someone answer me or throw me a link to why the boosters of the capital ship trusters are not working now? @Fenris @Germanicus @ravien_ff OOOOO .... *here an untranslatable game of Russian rude words * ... I would have muddied such ships if there were rotors in the EGS
Boosters? You mean the thrusters? We'd need more information. If it's a crashed one found on a planet or moon, then it's really a base made to look like a CV and will never fly. If it's something you brought in from the workshop, it may be an old one built before CPUs were a thing.
Began coloring/texturing the outside of the freighter, curerntly with thrusters in NPC ship set up (I will have to downgrade them for the survival version to not be more than T2. I have to say it moves on quite a bit faster than when I painted Vídarr, since I am using the same color/texture scheme and I don't have to come up with one.
Today I reworked some things in my collection of ships. And the further the more I become paranoid =) strange things seem to me from patch to patch ... I mean that at 11.5 the CV when pressing the shift also had a short-term acceleration of movement like the SV. Here is a screen of short-term acceleration (boost) on the SV. For example, the same MS Titan with a pressed shift in space flew 120 m / s. In version 12 it was removed or what?
Actually managed to finish painting all of the freighter's hull (took me much less time then I expected, knowing HOW you want something to pait speeds things up soooooo much) I decided to keep the planet landing gear on it even though I'm currently working with the AI version, it fits the intended purpouse of the ship for my faction...
Thanks. It looks a bit bulky and short, but I guess that's kinda what you expect from a fraighter. As much internal space with as little resources needed. Btw. since you're already here ( ), do you know if AI ships have spawners or internal sentry guns like POIs or is it just a POI thing? I'm going to work on the NPC version first so I really need to know
Internal sentries yes, but they can sometimes bug and shoot through closed hangar doors (not tested recently).
Today I figured out how to randomize random NPC's dialog so they'll give you different rumors when you talk to them. Talking to a NPC the first time will give you a random rumor: Talking to the same NPC will still give you the same rumor, so you'll need to talk to different NPCs in different POIs to get different rumors. If you return to the first NPC later they'll often have something different to tell you this time. There's some quirks to it but it shouldn't really be noticeable in normal game play. The system is also easily expandable without having to edit the blueprints of the POIs (though I do need to add the NPCs to each POI the first time, which I'll have to do tomorrow!). This should give people some hints about things to look out for, and I could even hide random missions in the dialog to find!
I may be mistaken but I think that boosters only exist on thrusters of a certain size or larger. I do not think that small or med thrusters have boosters on them for CVs. Again, I may be mistaken here though.
Do they? AFAIK you cannot actually enter an AI ship. Last time I tried (12.5) you just land on an invisible block. Do not know when or if they are going to correct that. It even leads to a lot of issues trying to retrieve blocks from ships though it seems coring it will allow entry and fix this but not right away on some occasions. Or you can just fly right through it - another bug but I think they are actually working on fixing that one.
