Starting Season 2 of Let's Play

If you do AFK in a med station, keep a cargo box within reach and put all your stuff in it first, because if your base runs out of power and you die, your backpack could despawn before you come back. (This has never happened to me, except that one time.)

 

I'm afraid to try that... literally afraid too...

 

Yeah also if you're still early enough in the game where you get attacked by drones, you could come back to find your whole base destroyed.

 

In this episode we start building a new big base on Zeyhines, and fight off a few critters on the way.

During this & the last Episode, your Vid's been a bit jerky & laggy lookin as ya play. Is it just that Planet laggin ya out, or is it just the fact that I watched this & the last Vid while afk processing Resources in my Large Constructor...?

 

Hmm, I didn't notice any in the episodes so it could have been the game doing it.

How are you cloning the colors on the light blocks at the end of the video? Every time I use the paint tool I seem to have to left-click however many times on each block I want to paint.

Great looking base, by the way.

 

Ok, so maybe it was just my Computer struggling at the dual tasking. Many thanks for the response.

 

With the paint tool you can paint the last color by holding down the left shift key. Works with blocks or lights. (But does not translate from blocks to lights.)

 

I put up two videos today, one is a regular episode, the other is a (long) bonus video showing a complete CV build.

In episode 48 Hurley and I take our new capital ship, the Less Than Three, to the alien planet Masperon and attack the Xenu Mining Complex. The POI raid is a single sequence this time.



This video shows the complete construction of the CV in real-time from two perspectives.

 

Maybe someday we'll be able to do this without our Stamina getting stupidly wasted.

 

I look forward to watching these during my next intense bout of stuff Processing. Once I get my first ever Survival Mode CV built I plan to go after those 2 Ores I need to make lots & lots of Power Coils. I plan to mine the hell outta them, no fear of 'overdoing it' on the Mining of them. During the processing I may well be glad that CV Build is an hour long.

In this episode we check out the brand new blocks and windows in pre-alpha 5.4. Additional work is done on the greenhouse, the courtyard, and we put in an elevator. We also update the terraria with the fancy new windows.

 

In this episode we tour the base to see lots of small improvements from the new 5.4 blocks and the return of the golems. We also finish the landing deck, update the scaffolding ship, and start putting in the interior walls.
