After supper, went looking for the Erestrum roid. Found a wreckage with 4 large thrusters, which puts a huge dent in the parts needed for the Far Trader I want for the next level CV. Even with my excitement, I still had to pause salvaging for the view: Also landed on the moon, where another wreck gave us most of the medium thrusters and half the steel blocks we'll need. Got done just before sunset

Turned off Antialiasing and Anisotropic filtering in game and set them up in Nvidia settings. Went from @30fps @1080 to 60fps @2560. Only PIA is EGS apparently doesn't like that, so every session I play I have to set Nvidia back to default, set EGS to minimum video settings, then restart the game and put it all back OTOH, according to the new min specs on the Steam page, I'm not even supposed to be able to run EGS with an FX8350 @4Ghz and an FX970 So, last we headed over to the Doaurez Kappa field for neodymium, ice, and titanium
There is an unexpected surprise! When you walk away, the stone you add vanishes (graphic limits of the game)! The turrets are released, so if you are out in the open field ... raining lasers !!!! I have AA and AF on in the Game as well as in my Graphic card - works up to 60fps for me - and I am running an a GTX 780M. I changed the in-game Resolution to the Best Performance Setting for my Graphic-Card which is 1600:900. I could go with 1980x1020 native but that goes on the Performance ... -5 to 10 FPS. Also I cant play on the Resolution of the External Monitor which has 2560x1440...that kills game play almost - FPS 15-20

I updated the Eris to use those new-fangled cargo containers instead of a big pile of cargo boxes. ;-) This is V6, it is here on the Steam workshop: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2170877230 I'm playing a survival game now with Mass/Volume and CPU enabled, and I'm really happy with how this design performs. But then, I better be, after spending so much time upgrading and tweaking over the years and versions. It suits my play style, it may not suit yours. YMMV. I left V5 available too. Some people may want the version with lots of cargo boxes if they are playing with Mass/Volume turned off. I miss being able to name each box to help me organize things. Not sure what you mean, maybe I am confused. I regularly label my cargo boxes to ID their contents. You just have to add them (or any device for that matter) to a group first. Once this is done, the option to change its name becomes possible.
Doesn't work so well when all you have is two 320 kSU container systems. I named them "Port" and "Starboard". Worked great when I had 23 separate cargo boxes.
Today I.... No screenshots, no stories today, today is a normal day I just went into creative and poked around my future aircraft carrier ... nothing, but you have to hide it very well because the hangar will be through with practically no obstacles. I think it will be just a classic ... in one place the core is laid with 3-4 layers of armor, as well as the rest of the warp parts, generators ... reinforced protection for tanks and oxygen tanks ... and a bunch of bunch of engines in all directions because this miracle will have to be moved at least somehow, at least in space.
Isn't that always the case? You create this beautifully shaped hull, and then you reach a junction or interface point and you can visualize the perfect shape to fill it... but it doesn't exist. :-(
Just remember to put those boxes FIRST into Groups and then label them. If you hit afterwards Autogroup ONCE all labeling is gone.
And this evening, I am reminded of why I gave up on the container system in A10.4. I have a 320 kSU container with 129 kSU of volume used, but I can't add any more items because there is an arbitrary limit on the number of items/stacks that can be put in the container. Seriously? That's just dumb. I had hoped that was fixed by now. (I skipped Alpha 11.) Also, why don't armor boosters stack? As far as I know, every jetpack booster is like every other jetpack booster. They should stack. That alone would make that arbitrary item limit hurt less. I collect a lot of those to sell to traders.
