I'm going to, but I shouldn't have to work around a pointless, abitrary limitation like that. If they want us to use the container system, they should make it function correctly and usefully.
Would it? Fusion cells stack, but the game only lets you put one per slot in autominers. Looks like that mechanism already exists in the code.
Today I have added screenshots and descriptions for LIF Helion and LIF Mad Spider https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2171404189 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2171418491 And I found an interesting thing in the statistics - I played 776 hours in the EGS ... this is from March 24, 2020
Damn, that's intense. I've got over 1000 hours in, but I started at Alpha 4, in late 2016. Still, addiction is addiction.
Thanks, but I did need some paint: I mean, I love industrial grey as much as anyone else, but color... just a little color... means so much.
And to conclude this little undertaking, I present: The Heirphant The Heirophant is a long-range exploration and trade craft. Rumored to have been gifted to its current owner by the Felia as part of a trade deal, the Heirophant is fully outfitted as both a long-range exploration craft and a live-aboard mobile base. It features both fore and aft vehicle hangers suitable for HV's and an aft hanger suited for small SV's.
I refreshed another survival design today, an HV I call Slasher II. Once again I have taken somebody else's perfectly good design and butchered it. This is very loosely based on govrom's Speeder, which I tore apart and rebuilt into a monster. Govrom's version was much prettier than this, but less capable. This is my end game general purpose explorer, now updated for Alpha 12. It is shielded but not armored. Those curvy hull blocks may look like steel but every one of them is a container extension. There are no cosmetic blocks in this design at all. Everything has a function. Features: T3 CPU Shield 5.5 kSU storage 2 gatlings, one minigun turret Armor Locker O2 Station Constructor Fridge Detector Steam workshop link: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1861393606
I am now settled in neutral territory in another star system, after leaving the initial icy planet. I spent some time mining in various neutral star systems to build a combat CV. Now I don't know where to go. To the territory of Zirax or Legacy? What should I do next? Territories can be cleared, but it seems impossible to capture star systems. Here, until I can decide on my feelings , I will sunbathe on the beach.
You should probably always remember to turn off the engines before getting a beer from the fridge.....
Does anybody even go to the fridge any more? I just use the control panel, have some nebulous nanobots bring me things...
Um, I do. In my survival game last night, I made several trips to the fridge when I was back at base to unload what I had harvested from the moon or nearby asteroids. Several trips, and I think only one of those trips did I stick around in the SV cockpit and use the "logistics" to fetch a bite from the fridge--my cheap SV currently has no fridge. Of course, I would also walk up to the large constructor near the fridge and order it to process some of the ores I just acquired as well. Now just need to find some neodymium for that tier 2 cpu upgrade for the base so I can complete some of the BA expansions and bring cpu back out of the red, also for some better HV/SV. Did manage to find an asteroid of gold in a nearby asteroid field. That was a very frigid experience mining a bit of gold in space, but getting that first EVA booster should be worth it.
Yes while farming / leveling - I still like to go to the physical fridge in those cases. However, in endgame, I have scripts that fill my vessels fridges called 'Medics' with a 5-stack amount of each medic type, plus some food-types. And while I was testing something as GM in a fresh started survival in space, I came by a funny image I just had to take for the lolz!
Looks like you're setting up for a really epic motorcycle jump. I remember several times I reentered and made a planetary landing with just my armor in past versions of this game back when it was easier to get separated from your ship. I even survived most of them, but you have to get the jetpack timing just right.
I managed to gather up all the materials in SP to build the new Revenant ship posted on the workshop, so looking forward to that finishing. But right prior to that I spawned his Raptor SV...and ***** my failed to realize it was not updated for v12. So I now have an awesome brick sitting in the middle of the spiffy new tarmac I created. Deciding whether I will try to shove in some CPU and stuff, or just spend a few hours dismantling it piece by painful piece. (Really trying to avoid using the admit stuff...but may break down for this one.
