Usually I'm used to the fact that when all players are disconnected from the dedicated server, all playfields are turned off and the time seems to freeze - there is no plant growth, no fuel consumption by enabled structures, no attacks from zyrax. Today at the last public release, I noticed that the fully fueled base has 20% fuel left. What is the current logic of the dedicated server at the start of the playfield? Does it somehow take into account the time spent offline? Subtracts spent fuel? Respawn all NPCs? Immediately attacking with delayed attack from zyrax?
I am more concerned as how I am supposed to store CVs. Leaving them ON with shields is a constant fuel grind. Leaving them OFF - I can login finding out all my CVs died to 1 drone :-(.
Have you... tried storing them in.. orbit, where there are no drones? Adding an "Offline Protection" device? How about in a large, underground hanger? On a landing pad with a few turrets? I have to say, I haven't had this kind of problem. I've run out of fuel to be sure, and am currently suffering from an SV that doesn't like to stay docked to my CV, as well as a severe case of I-Don't-Know-What-to-Do-Now.
The I-Don't-Know-What-to-Do-Now syndrome is a pandemic one. I suffered from it on SP, then on MP with a friend, then on Official Vanilla and fear I have some preconditions on Official EU now as event the rarest resources seems to be peace of cake after you get first CV with a mining turret on top. Going after legacy bases is not my cup of tea as if I wanna play shooter I will find a good shooter. I am just kinda perfectionist type, if my CV gets 1 block damaged and I don't notice it that's a big deal as the CV is OMG !!!!!11one DAMAGED!. The orbit seems viable solution but I don't know yet what spawns there (I held my CV there in official vanilla and it was fine).
