Hi to all the Moders and Dev's out there, I'm currently working on a very Large Scenario that requires a lot of GalaxyConfig.ecf modifications now currently I'm trying to use the Child Territory_<nr> option to create Territory Bubbles as I expand my Custom Galaxy so that i can use the bubble to identify position and locations of new star clusters easily while i edit the issue I'm having is after Child Territory_10 ( ie 1-10 generated) the game doesn't generate any further Child Territory_ areas in the Galaxyconfig.ecf there is a line that says # Territories > You can set up several individual territories for the same faction with different or overlapping coordinates and spheres! it doesn't state there is a maximum number of these and 10 would be a very low limit. so I'm hoping that somebody has more information as I will need approx 60 regions minimum to make my planned Galaxy Thank you for your time
9 is the limit, the 10th one is the "none" territory (everything outside of any territory". There are technical reasons why it hasn't been increased, but I hope they will! Stars and star regions each have a limit of 99, however, so you can go pretty crazy with those. There also shouldn't be any hard limit on the number of custom sectors you can have, but of course more means a longer load time for the game.
Thanks @ravien_ff, its a shame that that limit exists , i t would be very cool to be able to make a lot more than that , oh well ill have to design my new universe another way
Yeah I've been bugging them about it. Having more than 9 faction territories and having custom factions are one of the things I hope they can add.
I am able to make me a custom territory, the galaxies show on map and there is stuff inside them...what is missing is the colored large area surrounding it marking it as a territory. What am I missing?
