I don't know if this is intentional for the experimental branch or if it's a bug but either way there are no POIs, at least not that I've found on about 4 or 5 planets, outside of the galactic faction territory. Needless to say there's not really a point to staying on those planets. Am I the only one that is experiencing this? Also, does anyone know is this is a bug or intentional for the experimental branch? I'm almost certain it's not permanent so don't worry. I say this because one planet had the "multiple AA turrets detected" description and there were no AA turrets. And yes I did use the map command to verify there were no POIs.

Outside the faction territories only POI with the "Faction: none" tag will spawn. (Wreckages, etc) BUT there are faction POI on some planets..but with a low probability.

Is this going to change when A12 stable goes live? As it stands there doesn't seem to be much purpose to those planets, and those are an extremely vast majority of the planets in the galaxy... POI means point of interest. Without them the planet is not very interesting. Or helpful. And those POIs that aren't in a faction are essentially worthless after the early game, i.e. when you get to them. It makes much more sense for planets outside of any faction's galactic territory to be contested rather than completely empty.

I've found planets deep inside faction territory with all the rare ores and no POIs defending them.

For the most part only planets in Zirax territory will have any real POIs that guard deposits.

If you want rares just go outside of faction territory, it's basically the one thing those systems are good for. And it's extremely easy to get as long as you have the patience to explore long enough without finding anything interesting except salvage POIs and deposits. Of course, I understand this is the experimental branch and they're taking this time to fix stuff like this, but as it stands there's no point to those planets besides resources, if you have the patience to look for them. I'm guessing this is because in the experimental branch they want people to test new features such as territory on the galactic map (which I do like), also people will only be that late in the game for so long before their saves break for the next phase.

Yeah this is no bueno guys. Having the majority of planets be empty with free deposits, - is game breaking and just kinda sucks. There's something about it that detracts from the game heavily. Why even go into Zirax territory? All the resources are free elsewhere.

I've got to agree with this.

One solution I can think of might be to expand territories to reduce the amount of neutral/unclaimed planets. Multiple contested territories could be an interesting way to go, with player actions influencing territory expansion/retraction.
