I've been busy to be sure... mostly working on a live CV build. It's more than a little different, but I'm happy with it, at least so far. Will have plenty of pictures to share in the near future, so stay tuned. Been having loads of fun as well, and haven't left my starter system, with the exception of a couple teleports to near-by systems to buy and sell a few things I couldn't get or get rid of otherwise. Of course, it's Friday now, and that means yacht time... so updates next week!
Well today I did some in world. But a good chunk of my morning was taken up mowing the lawn. There really was a sun out these last two day This afternoon was trying to get going on a Arid start. eek! Having to drag my HV back to the trading station. Where I have set up camp to collect what I need and sale and trade. As you can see my HV is a simple make shift one. All decked out to chop trees. Now if I could find some to chop down for fuel Not a lot of orange tree to chop down. Oh well still collecting for my lvl 15 CV then I might be able to get off this rock. Been to the space station in orbit. Not much I can do up there yet. This is most likely the slowest starts to the game I've had in a long while.
Search for lakes and the Oasis there - plenty of wood OR dare to venture into the radiated Bioms and cut down a few of those Alien Trees - plenty of wood logs.
Today I worked some more on The Dead mission and played around with making some more NPCs. I made an immobile sentry robot that shoots slow moving homing plasma balls of DEATH. The idea is these could be used in "boss" fights to give an added challenge.
I've finished decorating and painting the Heracles, but i'am sure i missed the odd block here n there. Exterior Shots : Interior Shots : Link to Steam Workshop : https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2226869305
Got a bit frustrated last night playing. Living pretty much as a nomad, flying around trying to mine/gather to build a massive end game ship. Basically having a blast...until last night. Went into warp to a new system and got a Continue or quit...clicked continue...came out of warp but hadn’t moved. So tried again...came out of warp to an empty system. Nothing, map empty. So I thought “maybe if I log out and back in it will load”. Well, it did...except it left my ship behind in another system. I was floating in space alone. So, I had to “destroyme” and luckily spawned in the same system as my ship was. Tossed out a quick cheap warp SV from the factory, had to use the console to spawn a few packs of fuel and warp crystals. And limped back to my ship. things seemed ok after that...but it was such an immersion breaking experience I about lost it.
Bro, this is awesome, can you make a flamethrower? This game lacks a flamethrower to rush zirax. YES YES YES doing everything right, you need more glow! Cool thing turns out
The reforged galaxy/eden has a flamethrower. Runs off biofuel and is quite fun at blasting groups of nasties that have you in a confined space
I'm not going to play Reforged Galaxy. The maximum I play is Project Eden. But generally I play vanilla. I have some difficulties with the Reforged project
Takes some getting used to but the end-game loot makes it worth it. Without Reforged Eden I would've put this game into the 7 Days to Die category of play it for 3 hours every 2 weeks or so list. The end game does motivate you to keep playing. In vanilla the moment I create a Tier I CV (takes me about 5 hours) it's already near end game for me.
yup...reforged is my “favorite” settings, but I keep going back to vanilla because I am a factory junky.
I'm curious, how big are those hangar doors? I was wondering if I could park a Osanshouo in it, (it was made to fit through a 13x7 hangar door.)
you know, stupid time-stretching, only annoying. I like Project Eden, it's beautiful there, there are quests. But all these are just mods, frankly, I don't really like the moment of survival in this game, every game of this type is more for me an opportunity to add cubes. Come up with something cool. But even this moment ends for me if the game is not able to at least roughly convey my engineering thought. As I see with us on September 13, 2020, there is no information from the developers about when at least something else in the engineering part of the game will be done. So Empyrion went on the shelf, patches in other games will start coming out soon. Which require the attention of a simple player =) yes yes, I promised to finish the ships and I will do it when I'm in the mood for it. But at the moment, 863 hours in half a year ... this game has exhausted interest for me
Mood is a thing for most long time Gamers too. You could call it dedication if someone invests more than 1000 hours in a Game. In my case its rather the lack of money to just jump games - also there are NON out there that peak my interest. So I add a quote from "Ulysses": And so we are not now that strength which in old days moved Earth and Heaven, that which we are, we are, - one equal temper of heroic hearts, made weak by time and fate, but strong in will to strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield (A.Tennyson).
I would love if an alternative to Empyrion existed. Not because I don't like Empyrion, but because the more decent games in the genre there are, the healthier the genre as a whole is. However I don't know of any current or upcoming games that are like Empyrion. Nothing really comes anywhere close.
the Hangar doors are 2x 9x7, thats 14x9 i think !?, i go test it Uhm.. for some reason the hangar doors wont open for that CV , besides the ship is a tad too long anyway. But there is a landing platform for CV's on Top ! And a Docking Arm at the back wich requires a front or back mounted Landing Gear.
Alfred Tennison is a great writer ... You know, it's not about money, well, the game doesn't really develop, I said that I'm tired of the routine in the game, of artificially involving the player in routine processes instead of creating and researching, and even fighting. Perhaps in a year, when all the developments of the reforged galaxy and the eden project are introduced, I will again be imbued with interest. As for money for other games ... there are quite free games =) In terms of the engineering component, even techcraft was steeper than the EGS. As I wrote above, it is depressing to pick up instead of development ... it seems that the developers have put on further development
Its whatever you think is right love is flash. There isn't a game quite like Empyrion just like there isn't a game like No Man's Sky. It sounds like your in that calm down mode for this game and will probably be like me when playing Fallout 4. Once you reach your mental goal for a game like me getting all the achievements in Fallout 4 or Borderlands 2 you have a sense of completeness that you can't shake when you play it again... It feels like you're trying to disturb something you shouldn't. At least that's what I feel. I hope Empyrion doesn't go into that category for me tbh. Been enjoying a no BP run right now.
