It's really interesting to maintain the garden, to balance receipts, etc But it's really annoying to harvest. Is it possible to add NPC crew which can be assigned to the crop blocks, to do harvest, and move harvested crops into fridger?
I played a game "Planetbase" where from a small starter base, you expanded modules to include living quarters, medical, manufacturing, as well as greenhouse modules. Crew would tend, harvest and store crops, while others would collect and transfer them to processing and so on. It would be great if at some point, NPCs could be so assigned, along with other tasks.
Modders can do this, I think. Especially, if devs implement support of other, not only C# languages (I mean mod API)
Until somebody does it, I can only dream about it. Actual modding, beyond changes to the config.ecf, are beyond my abilities to understand, let alone do.
There should be official modding support, until it is possible. Then real potential of the game will be released. Not only for this aspect, but for a lot more...
