One of my favorite hobbies is, apart from Empyrion....,cooking. I 've found these recipes and thought to share them with you. Bon appetit.
Eat pizza? Did you make it from scratch? You should! I was a noob two years ago and found this vid prior to the content provider selling out to sponsors ... the main critical factor is the sauce recipe. Don't say no to the San Marzanos, as they are worth it. You've been warned! I'd also suggest adding a couple/few anchovies that come prefab in olive oil & salt for umami- try it, you'll like it. Make too much and you can find silicone molds on Amazon to freeze pucks of the stuff that defrost just in time to apply. As described you end up with four crusts but pretty soon you may realize that two pizzas and a loaf of fresh bread once a week is pretty cool. If you're lazy give up on overnight/autolyse and just make sure you have 45 minutes in the fridge so it opens up. We had a friend who brews beer bring a growler and watched two episodes of Expanse every Thursday for months! Your patience will be rewarded. Great pizza. Great beer. Great show.
Ooh, food... I do love me some food, and recently I've not only made a discovery, but invented a new recipe of my own. What did I discover? You know when you open the fridge, and have no idea what you want? I figured it out - you want a salad. And if you want a really good one: Chop 1 bunch of Romaine Lettuce Hearts Chop 1 bunch of watercress Thin slice 1 cucumber Slice 1 purple onion Thin slice 3-4 radishes Slice 8-10 hard boiled quail eggs Mix and toss vegetables and egg slices. Lightly drizzle with white truffle oil and sprinkle with champagne vinaigrette. Add fresh cracked black pepper to taste.
Watching those recipes made me hungry... I have been starving for months now, eating only home-made bread, cookies (plain) and macaroni with the cheapest "fake meat" sauce available... Bread and peanut butter keeps me alive. Even as a student I don't remember having managed to live on such a tiny diet.
