    REPORT TEMPLATE

Post your bugs here using the following template:

    Build: 1.4 b3259
    Mode: Survival
    Mode: Dedicated Server

SERVER NAME: Eleon Studios - Official US Server
    SEED-ID: N/A

    Reproducibility: Sometimes
    Severity: Minor

    Type: Teleport

Summary: Jetpack randomly turned off after using the teleporter

Description: Sometimes when teleporting, the teleporter resets your jetpack on/off toggle status, and you end up unable to move in a destination with no gravity. You can just re-enable jetpack so it's not game-breaking, but if you were to think jetpack was still on and then jump from heights, you'd fall and take damage if you expected to be able to do a jetpack burst just before landing, and there's no apparent consistency or reason for this to be happening.

Steps to Reproduce: Just turn Jetpack on with J key, then use a teleporter pad a few times, and the jetpack will now be switched off

It would be nice if there were a simple check for a rule like:
When entering a playfield (applies to all methods like entering via ship, gravity (falling), or teleporter)
    A) if it's a planet/moon - always turn on the jetpack (because who doesn't have it on all the time anyway on every planet/moon
    B) if its a ship (teleporting into the ship) - if the ship is in a planet/moon playfield then turn on the jetpack same as "A"
    C) if its a ship (teleporting into the ship) - if the ship is in a space playfield then check the ship's gravity generator.. if its turned on, then turn off the jetpack.. if gravity is off or does not exist, then turn ON the jetpack.
    D) if it's a space base - check the gravity generator, just like Item "C"

I don't think there's any reason why the game can't intuitively set the jetpack.. you're always going to want it on a planet/moon if you have a suit, and if you're not on a planet/moon.. then you know artificial gravity only works on you when the jetpack is turned off, so why not just check the presence of active artificial gravity and set the jetpack accordingly?

This could even be made into a simple menu options -> "Auto set Jetpack Status"

If that is true, then follow the rules, if that is false, then never change the state of the jetpack, ever, under any circumstances - log the status and ALWAYS apply that same status each time the player enters a new playfield.

tbh I never turn off jetpack, it lets you jump higher than a regular jump in gravity, and is the only way to move out of gravity. Why would anyone ever turn it off, let alone the teleport pad?
