By the way, the battle for next Sunday (or whichever day it falls on in your time zone) we will be doing a new type of battle: Space Marine Boarding Scenario! Basically, Red Team will have a CV parked in a PvP-enabled orbit somewhere, and Blue team will attempt to board, at which point the teams will engage each other with Rifles and other handheld, marine-style weaponry. Red Team will be providing a modified Gargoyle-class Destroyer for this battle. The middle floor of the Gargoyle (where the warp drive is) will be filled in a bit more to add a nice shooting range area, in addition to the lower deck (a mostly straight room with multiple armored boxes inside protecting vitals, as well as redundant systems), the bridge (currently minimal, will add computer consoles, etc for cover), and the hull surface (there are lots of ridges and such on the topsides, which may make for good cover/firing positions). Red Marines will likely be armed with the following: - {Main weapon} Pulse Rifle (aka Assault Rifle T2) - {Close-quarters} Shotgun Tier 2 - {Sidearm} Either Laser Pistol or T2 Pistol - {Specialization} (While supplies last) Minigun, Sniper Rifle, or Rocket Launcher - {Survival kit} Medkits and emergency o2 canisters (and perhaps Energy Pills and E. Rations, if supplies available) ***Red Marines are encouraged to bring their own weaponry, if the possess any. Regardless of readiness, I will provide additional weapons, ammo, and supplies for the battle as needed. ***Blue Marines: check with @Brokenshakles for your loadout options. Depending on the situation and readiness of Blue forces, they may have to approach the CV under fire, or at their leisure. More than winning, we want people to have fun, so adjustments will be made as necessary. Hope to see you all there!

Got to check out the Eleon Test Server, aka Empyrion MP for the first time! Not as laggy as i'd feared it'd be (Once I got out of the Escape Pod Zone) but still a bit laggy here & there, so i'd be of inadequate use in Combat. I'll have to wait for my New Computer Build first, & that's gotten delayed by Mom needing to borrow my money for her Dental Expenses that is assaulting a Credit Card of hers which is bad news for my entire branch of the Family Tree, & when ya are under attack from an Enemy like that one does NOT simply ignore it & let it pummel ya with free damage. After I can someday get the New Computer Build complete & running i'll use the Eleon Test Server to test how much the better Hardware improves my MP Experience. If Alpha hits first before I can get my New Computer done & running, I could theoretically still hop into the Red vs Blue Server & hop into the BMT Faction, but i'll be screwed into being limited to doing grunt work for my Faction like Mining up Resources for it & such till my New Computer's ready. Also after I get the New Computer Build up & running, maybe i'll get to FINALLY be able to run W10's Integrated Game Recorder & find out if it's worth a damn cause the New Build's planned Graphics Card has NO excuse to fail to run the dude. I hope the W10 Integrated Game Recorder turns out to be at least decent cause it's the ONLY Pro to W10 compared to the epic W7 imho. Edit: Rocket Launcher T2 says "Hi.".
I'm honestly not sure whether to allow Rocket Launcher or not. I'm thinking yes for this battle to, at the very least, test how effective they are in these types of scenarios. That said, the supplies of them I will bring will be limited, so as to prevent undue damage to the CV.

SCENARIO UPDATE Blue Spies have reported back to HQ with the following message and images: "There appears to be a lot of chatter about their flagship Destroyer, the Gargoyle #001. From what we've gathered, it's the only one so far to be fully outfitted with turrets, warp drive, and interior. We have reason to believe they will be taking it on a shakedown cruise around the system in a few days time. It is unclear whether their turrets will be fully operational, but we suspect that if a large Blue presence is detected, they will do whatever they can to ensure the safety of their prized vessel. Capturing or destroying the vessel would be a big blow to the Red's fleet and pride. Enclosed are a few photos we snapped of the Gargoyle in the brief time we had alone aboard it. We had only enough time to get a hasty photo of each floor, but we hope this is enough to help our brothers prepare for the attack." "PS, though the time we had aboard the ship was short, I personally suspect there may be secret passages and rooms not immediately obvious to the untrained eye..." -------------------------------------------- Red Team Briefing: "Our flagship destroyer will be conducting a short cruise around the system this week to ensure it's preparation for active duty. Though we have kept the upgrading of the ship quiet, we suspect that Blue team may have caught word and are preparing to ambush us somewhere along the way. Our turrets are still being wired by the technicians, but, barring setbacks, we are confident they should be ready, and more than capable of defending itself should such an ambush occur, at the time of the cruise. Should outer defenses fail, we have anti-personnel turrets inside, as well as a compliment of Marines to discourage any attempts to board the vessel. We do not believe a fighter escort will be required, as we wish to maintain a minimal presence during this operation."
I have to work while the battle's going on though. Unless the battle lasts for 3 hours (which I doubt will happen) I'm going to miss it all. @Slam Jones I'm officially a member of Blue Team, so don't forget to add me to that roster. Although if I keep drawing work shifts that prevent me from participating in the fights I might just have to transfer over to Black Market Traders when the server wipes for Alpha.

Havent seen SWS for 2 days, hes been at work, not sure if he is running the beta testing version, not sure if he will be here but I will remind him at 6am.
IMHO your aid in getting Alpha done is the greater use of your time. Edit: I just tried doing a Forum Search for 82nd, & the Forum can't find him/her anymore...
This "special match" today will be streamed from my point of view slam jones and I tested the stream yesterday, and it sadly has minor lags since I'm from europe and he's from the us, these might increase as the server gets overloaded from our (hopefully) massive fight... if you wanna have a look then the stream will be online ½ an hour before designated game time (8PM GMT which is 3PM on East Coast US, 1PM West Coast, 7AM Brisbane, etc)
Since I won't be around for the fight, I cordially invite the Blue Team to arm themselves at MechsiCo Heavy Industries system headquarters, located on the surface of Ningues. The weapons and ammo will be located in the advanced constructors on the second floor. Make sure your craft is set to BNS faction, the base is very heavily defended. (Which means no free weapons for Red!)
