The whole point of making this possible is as follows. We the community are using large cv carriers to transport hv, sv, cv combat ships, cv miners, cv dropships, and cv factory ships and so on. Upon reaching our location we must now undock our cv drop ship. Then we must undock from our carrier all the hv and and sv and move them onto the drop ship. Now we can finally go down to the planet. This is a major pain todo. It would be a massive quality of life boost to make this change. I promise everyone wants this change.
This would be great, I want to use more HV and specialized drop ships for that whole immersion thing.... but the lazy in me just lands my cv on planet and off i go. Tragically i don't check gravity before i do this and have lost more than one CV flopping around on a poi like a beached whale.
not this first thread on the topic, guess more people want this yes, very needed would be nice to be able to put this to use till we get some more appropriate attributes to make our bridges nicer looking. and repairs without unloading for 10 minutes, that too
We all want this. Recursive docking would be a great addition. It's all just a question of how much effort this takes.
It would allow for rapid deployment against that Ziraxian scum. Must destroy them and purge more Zirax.
One of the devs once said, that the guy who is responsible for docking mechanism tried to implement recursive docking, but with no success. He was very angry and left it for a better times. Lets hope better times will come soon
There has been many times when eleon is like its not possible with the engine. Then a year later out of now where ban we just kidding its in the game now go break the crap out of it.
having a proper warp animation was "technically" impossible too for a couple of years.. guess they found tinkerbell last year
