I haven't played this game for a few years, so some of these updates are pretty new to me. One of things I ran across, was the ability to warp over to "empty space". It has a name, but rather than having planets, moons, or even a base or asteroid field, it turned out to be empty. No POIs, no patrols, no drones, no nothing. So, are all of these empty space areas just like that? I'm just wondering why they are even there. I mean, I guess at least you could build a space base with zero defenses or something. Not like anything will happen there. I just am trying to figure out what the point of these is, and if I should ever bother to checking them for POIs etc.
Empty orbits are actually empty, yes. So if you want to build without being bothered by NPCs (or when retreating) then this is the place to go. Other than that..yes, they are empty
