It's not all about crosshairs, in this place. HaHa. Never looked at Life is Feudal, if you want survival, try Savage Lands. A brutal indie with a tiny dev team and a tiny following, but Savage Lands is set in a Mythological time and has elements of magic and death. Swords, bows arrows, crafting that kind of thing - basic, but still complex. But mostly it's damn cold. Pretty apt for this time of year.

Does the croshairs change from (+) when you aim with gun to hand when you are about to use a device or enter cockpit?
There are 3 crosshair icons (the game defines a 4th placeholder crosshair, for cockpits but it is never used, so I just copy-paste.) 1. is the default crosshair, which turns red when you are in range 2. is the ADS of focusing scoped crosshair, which turns red when you are in range 3. is the "action" crosshair which is visible when in range, else you get the default crosshair from (1) 4. a ship crosshair, which never works, you always get (1) when in a ship cockpit In the screenshots you see the "action" crosshair for containers and doors is modded from the normal small square into a Fallout pip-boy 3000 . which is always Yellow. Well actually this is not the classic 3000 pip-boy, but welcome for suggestions there. I still need to do a very quick set of diagrams and a video showing this off better. It's possible to use black in the crosshairs, and even other colours, however the game modifies the colour based on a few rules, which are best explained if I show some side-by-sidescreenshots. As someone who has probably spent more time fiddling with this lot, I am probably overdue sharing how this looks. Turrets are completely unaffected. I'm loathe to file this as a bug (and the lack of cockpit crosshair modding), pretty sure the devs have better things to do. But I have had incredible fun doing it, watch the video tutorial if you are at all in doubt.
