Railgun for CV, yeah! The game definitely needs a rail gun for CV Additional dimensions of the shield generator for CV: 2 height x 3 width x 3 length. Small shield generators size 2x2x2 for CV and a maximum limit of 2 pieces, so that you can total the same shield volume as on a large generator, but in small CV sizes.
Armored shutter doors for SV/HV. Covering exterior cargo compartments with a 30 HP shutter just isn't doing the job.
The game features a short version of the corner low block. And there is no low one with an elongated one side. Add this block, please. Look at the image. If I haven't noticed such a block in the game, I'm sorry)
Or just cost-differentiated shutters. I mounted 4x3 shutters to a plastic pickup truck (the Gueh, nice truck) as very effective early game forward armor, but that shutter is from the same block as the 30hp one.
I would like to see the following blocks reworked, and why: Change: Light-emitting blocks should have light which is blocked by voxels, like the flashlight (the bright one you hold, not your shoulder lamp which has the same problem) or the T1 work light. These lamps have light which is blocked by voxels and look nice. Diffuse light effect in atmosphere from these blocks should be vastly reduced. Why: For consistency and realism, more beauty in creations. Spotlights currently are so diffuse that seeing terrain, even on a planet with little atnosphere, is often easier without the spotlight on. Can you please reduce the GPU demand by instead of calculating a massive blinding cone of brightness, to instead calculate nice, flowing light which obeys voxel placement? OK and thanks. Change: Clear windows as a change option from the multitool. These are completely clear windows. Why: I believe a clear option would result in more GPU optimization, as well as allowing me to see to drive. I can't see sometimes out a properly calibrated windshield in 1P mode because the tint is still too high and as mentioned, headlights hinder visibility, even on the moon. OK, thanks.
Would be nice if the shutter blocks had a reasonable hp...what I've had to do in the past to help with that is put thin hull blocks partially covering a larger shutter, so that only the middle of the shutter can be hit but it still has the HP of a larger shutter.
Sounds a bit like you're asking for Tier 2 shutters. Hard forcefields has been a code request for sometime, but I see Eleon is in the mood for some code changes, lately.
NEUTRON CORE (core/explosive block VARIANT) A neutron core is a dummy core added to a POI to trick intruders. It houses a promethium/sathium charge that produces a neutron-heavy large radius explosion that does 1D4+1 full rad damage to all PC in range if the block is reduced to zero. It can be identified easily with the multi-tool. If possible the explosion should be proceeded by the cardinal windows on the core block model glowing bright blue before a wave effect (hacking/stun field) goes out from the device so that the person who triggered it can go "Oh fu..." just before they take the hit. Up to six neutron cores can be added to a POI model. At POI creation the actual core position will be added (ie up to seven devices considered) and a random number may (or may not) exchange the actual core with one of the neutron cores. This VARIANT device is used to make POI sapping more challenging and eliminate determinism, speed run optimal attacks, and brute force "blow the core" approaches.
Can you introduce a way for us to mod our own shapes in? I know we can mod in blocks, but most of these requests are for childshapes of existing blocks, and it doesn't look like we're going to get new shapes anytime soon.
Escape Pods Not sure if it has been brought up before, but having a CV device/block that acts as an escape pod. We start the game hurtling towards a planet in an escape pod, and we never see them again on any ship in the game. Possible method of use: You are in a CV that is taking massive damage, you cant escape, you hit the hot button/activate the escape pod somehow (could be a button with a confirmation warning on the regular weapons bar). Functionally a "teleport" type event happens and you are now flying towards the nearest planet in the system in the same starter escape pod. When building a CV, the "Escape pod" is a module that is added just in the way a thruster is added. This way, they are also completely optional. Obviously this can be a bad thing, as this planet may be a hell planet and you die immediately. But, thems the breaks. If you happen to be in some system with no planets, then you just fly into space at the nearest playfield in the system. If you are in SP, then well, you just die...it is a survival game after all, and it happens. If in an MP game, your friends can come rescue you if they can get there before your O2 runs out. So what about your CV that you left at the mercy of the space baddies? Once the escape pod launches the ship powers down completely. Meaning crops on board and fridges shut off. This will leave you with some bit of wreck to eventually come back to and salvage. Realism wise, escape pods exist in the game, so lets make them a functional part of the game. Granted, players can build their own "escape craft" and dock it on board. But I have really yet to be in a space battle that went totally sideways where I would have had time to exit the seat, run to an SV, and escape. And once in the SV, whatever was bashing the CV to death is now free to bash the SV to death, and within range. I think it would also add to the "survival" aspect of the game, as a space battle that is going wrong can really just lead to another adventure in trying to get space bound again. It may also encourage people to risk their ships more daringly in combat as they now have a realistic reason to escape an obviously losing battle. But why save the CV? Certainly the other factions also appreciate a nice bit of salvage. Perhaps add a 24 hour despawn timer on abandoned ships to account for this "You left it too long and the enemy has salvaged your craft".
This would be useful I would also like the contrast on the blocks to be better is sometimes hard to tell the orientation if the light is bad.
oh this is an easy one. I want new shapes added to the reguar buiding blocks, by new i mean i want the same shapes u got in the windows block added to the regular wood steel concrete blocks
Could we have a wooden door? Now tribal buildings can't have any doors or it would look very weird... Might also want to add a wooden gate and a "tribal style" metal gate, too, for entrances that are wider than a single block.
