That is one hell-of-a frigate up there. Although I still don't quite get it what you guys use all the space inside the ship for Here's something on the other end of the spectrum, this tiny agile cap ship is continuation of my pursuit of creating whole new "race" for the game, so I did continue with the yellow/gray color theme and slightly bug-like appearance. Has everything you need in a combat ship and armed with pulse lasers so you can snipe your targets from afar! they are just for the looks Nice little CV u got there. Build a minimalistic Cv myself, 1 room only containing what I needed it to, compact, but could still be made a bit smaller. the small ships handles with ease
Haha, you could fit every single goddamn ship I've ever built in survival mode inside that "Main bridge" alone. Not to mention that I use 6 ships as a standard kit with 2 cap ships in every survival I make, plus all the experimental ships...
That's like saying, "hey guys, I built this moon and now I feel slightly lonely inside" Seriously even though it's a brilliant ship, that's so darn huge it's basically a small planet already.
Here's last of my "Alien Fleet". This is a small destroyer so it has plenty of firepower, it's quite agile and has everything inside you need for general living in survival. There's also landing space on top for two small vessels and on lowest floor has everything you need for crafting and engineering rooms. Pilot sits in middle of the ship in glass shaft, if he has balls to fly it. Upwards is the bridge and living quarters, although it saddens me that we can't (yet at least) make a bathtub or jacuzzi and use either as a centerpiece on the bridge, there's a stand for it on there though, so if it ever comes this ship is receiving an update Blueprint link: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=646865532 And here's some pics! Spoiler: Ground floor on the farm side Spoiler: Pilots seat Spoiler: The Bridge with bathtub stand in the middle Spoiler: Crew living quarters (more pics from inside rooms on steam, there's captains and exo's quarters and second crew area)
Well, now imagine this is only half size. That's, why I now have to laugh reading people which "plan" to build 1:1 scale, full size Imperial Star Destroyers or even Superstardestroyers... This is completly moronic, and probalby even not possible, at least if you want to build something more, than just empty hull Honestly, after we finished to build the Venator, I said to my self "You probably will never again build a ship bigger than 500 m" Finishing the Venator was a real horror, trust me. We was building for days/weeks and we had the feeling, it is still empty and unfinished Such big ships are pretty uselles in the current game version. The game is lagging too much, they use much too much fuel, they move bad and are just big targets without a shield. Maybe in the future, if EGS get better editing tools and better fuel / moving system for CV's, then it makes more sense to build huge ships, but for now a clear "No Go". Personally, I'm cured from building huge EGS ships, beyond the 300/400 m length size, for longer time The only reason, why we finished the Venator, was because we was working on it already for weeks, the hull was already pretty complete and looking very cool and because I dont like unfinished projects...
ok i think too that,, too big ships not be useful. you must look at the numbers of servers and the users on it. nobody waits over 100 hours to create a capital ship on a MP server. the most (so i think) wait maximal 50 hours but not more. so i waiting for other weapon types in future. this will be more usefull, than 600m long ships. i think, if you build a SV or Medium Destroyer with anti CV Torpedoes or Beam-Lasers, the material what you need for a big ship to create is gone faster than you build it.
The final build of my first capital vessel and generally one of my first ships in EGS, the Cruiser MkIV.
For my latest project I decided to finally fulfill my threat @StarCitizen and make a proper Space-Whaling boat to hunt his Hammer-Head with So here's my brand new Capital-sized whaling vessel. It features a large flight deck for very large SV's or even small CV's, large factory area, which is purpose-built for meat handling, with tons of food processors, fridges and long ramp for dragging dead beasts to the slaughter. Floors are already blood red so you don't have to fear stains or even wash it afterwards! There's also plenty of storage room, three constructors for crafting, 4x 3x3 farms so you don't have to starve until you find something to shoot at. Minigun turrets at the back can be used for hunting as well, if you catch something too small and fast for artillery one. Or you could use them to scare away (or sink) those pesky hippies which gather around any whaling ship on their small rubber boats! Ok, a couple of challenges for you creative types.... 1. Mega Maid from Spaceballs 2. The black tower from the movie "Krull"
Here's something I've been sitting on a awhile, had to make sure it's viable and works in survival as well so it took some time That being said, I haven't really seen anyone making agricultural ships so I decided to make one and to follow my style I made it small enough to be actually built in survival as well. As an inspiration for this I used something very old called "Valley Forge", which is from 70's movie "Silent Running". That being said it's quite similar to BSG and B5 agricultural ships, since I'm sure there's not that many ways to stick a gigantic dome on top of ship so that it can still land Oh and if you do intend to use this as a planetary base for exploration or survival, remember to make a group out of thrusters and turn them off while not in use, otherwise you're going to end up with empty fuel-tanks very fast So without further ado: Agricultural ship "Bio-Dome" features: 72 growing pots 1 large constructor with place for second (or advanced) Small crafting area, with ample room for storage Small living quarters for 6 crew members Engineering room Flight deck for small vessels (or enough room to mount artillery turret or few smaller ones) 360'Degree panorama bridge Shape from up Spoiler: From the side Spoiler: Inside agricultural dome Spoiler: Corridor between main hull and the dome Spoiler: Living quarters and crafting area Spoiler: Bridge Spoiler: List of materials needed Blueprint link: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=649879853
I wont lie, Mega Maid has crossed my mind many, many times since starting this game. Many. http://i.imgur.com/xy89f7r.gif
The Wedge look at steam workshop for complete set of pictures (warning uploaded 40 in total after I deleted a few): http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=642417923 Carrier / flying base. on the flying side it's not the best ship, having issues making those big ships fly properly. can land on planets, levitate on planets etc. ohh and it's build in equal numbers (W) so no duplicating/planes possible while building the most interior I've ever put in a ship. contains: - cockpit with seats/workstations for other players - captains quarters - crew quarters - war room - protective corridor (to acces war room cockpit and captains quarters - relax area - mess hall - engine room - control point for bottom hangar - bottom hangar with hangar shelfs cargo space etc - top deck with numbered "parking" spaces for larger sv's - top deck corridors - basement with farming, construction, ammo and storage facilities - 20 protected rocket lunchers think that's it... a few pics: Spoiler: entering planet Spoiler: levitating on planet Spoiler: top deck from front Spoiler: top deck from behind Spoiler: corridor on top deck Spoiler: hangar Spoiler: hangar shelfs Spoiler: basement (construction and farm) Spoiler: materials needed
This is my first CV. I started off just building, not knowing where it would go, and it ended up looking like a giant bug by the time I was done, so I named it "The Tick." It has 2 Fridges, 4 Large Generators, 2 Large Fuel Tanks, Warp Drive, 2 Oxygen Tanks, 1 Oxygen Station, Food Processer, 2 Cargo Boxes, 1 Small Ammo Box to hold ammo for the 4 Mounted Sentries. 1 Advanced Constructor, 1 Pilots Seat, and plenty of space on the top sides to land your HV / SV. Takes about 2 hours to craft in the factory. No farm, but you could make one on the top of the Warp Drive encasing or on the sides I suppose. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=650623360
