Another modular CV! I love making these, haha. Anyway, I spent way too much time tweaking this one, but I'm pretty happy with it. Finally dug into signals a little more so I could add more interesting functionality instead of just flipping switches to operate doors and lights. These are made for 2+ players playing a co-op PVE game. The idea is that each player could serve a different role on the ship. A pilot to fly the main ships, co-pilots to transfer SVs and HVs between the ships, gunners to man turrets, etc. The ship is only made with regular steel, so a fun scenario could be to spawn all the ships in and spend time collecting resources and upgrading the ship for more hostile areas.

    This design has 3 CVs:
    • The SC-0863-1 is the main CV that stays in space and has the main constructors and storage, warp drive, and extra hangar space. It also has a number of turrets for defense.
    • The SC-0863-2 serves as the drop ship. Transfer HVs and SVs to this ship to land on a planet. Turrets are for clearing a drop zone. It has everything you need to survive on a planet, and a teleporter to return the main ship.
    • The SC-0863-3 is a super basic CV that just houses a garden plot. It's capable of detaching and landing on a planet. If the main ship is damaged and loses power this CV will keep your plants alive! It can also be easily gutted and re-purposed for something else.
The interior of the main ship does have some areas that aren't 100% necessary and are just there for immersion. The ship lacks a shield, but one could be easily added by removing one of the extra areas. There are a few things I wish Eleon would change/add that would make this ship (and others) much more functional/fun to use.
    • The biggest is that CV repair bays could repair CVs. The SC-0863-3 was originally designed to house a repair block so that while attached it would repair the main ship. Also, why can't we rotate repair bays anymore? I remember having a couple cool designs that used rotated repair bays.
    • The other is that sensors (motion or light) could detect CVs. I'd like the main hangar doors to automatically open when the CVs are docked.
    • For the sake of immersion I'd love to be able to also access the "P" menu through terminals.
Anyway, I attached the blueprints for these. Give them a test run and leave some feedback if you want! I'd love to hear from someone that tries this out in multiplayer.
