Hi Eleon please give us better Landscaping tools in 1.6+

For me, the existing drill tools and the filling tool are to rough and inaccurate to make my planet bases eye pleasing.

And when I filled something in it is obvious where it is because we don’t have a train “panting” tool.

It would also be nice to be able to plant trees, bushes or flowers outside the base.

I hate is that my planet bases look like this:

    I agree (!)
This tool MUST BE IMPROVED FOR A LONG TIME - for the alignment to be Smoother, Smoother, + automatic soil build-up (mountains are removed, but the holes are filled (!)
And also - so that the restored soil - grows with grass (!)
    Thank you

I would like to have a terrain tool, that allows you to "place" soil with grass, sand, rock, so that after landscaping to fit in a base, you can then tidy up the area and stop it looking like you ripped a hole in the side of a mountain. I would like also to be able to place trees, plants and rocks to landscape around my base, so it looks like it was built into the environment rather than a smashed into it.

A great example of a terrain forming and fixing tool is the one in Farming Simulator 19 - you still have to be a little careful with it and not too ham-fisted, but it would be a 10,000% improvement on the current tools in EGS.

At the very least, please give some dev-love to the "fine drill" and "levelling tool" - especially the latter and allow it to smooth slopes not just bulldoze them flat.

By no means is this a good solution and I'm all for better landscaping tools - but I feel like in older versions the game was much more lenient when it came to placing blocks in ground without having to dig out more terrain (and subsequently make it look ugly).
I could have sworn at one point all you needed was just the tiniest bit of of a block sticking out and you can place another next to it and terrain would adjust fairly nicely and now seems you have to have a good amount of block exposed for blocks to connect.

We really need a "terrain healing tool" that restores a planet to the way it was before you started drilling in it. It's just painful that the second you make a single mistake with a drilling tool you cannot make the landscape look nice again, no matter what.

I also absolutely hate that they made it so blocks can no longer be pushed into terrain, because before that dumb change it was easy to build a base that didn't disturb the landscape. It was perfectly easy to blend a tunnel entrance into a mountain side for example, now it's an absolute nightmare.

Just reverting this nonsense change that doesn't allow you to stick blocks in the ground would solve 90% of the problem.

  7. I honestly can't believe that the devs still haven't done anything about this yet.
I mean, it was A10 when they made that ridiculous change (so basically 2 years now and still no fix).

I still can't build bases in survival without using a blueprint because far too often it requires me to 100% drill out the terrain before I can place a block, which then means it has absolutely NO structural integrity because it isn't in terrain.....
    Like, what?!?

How is this still not fixed?
It has been reported many times and yet we can't even get an acknowledgement that they intend to fix it.

Sure, I can 'cheat' and use god mode, but that should never be a requirement to build a base in survival.
They need to fix this already.
It should have been fixed BEFORE it even left experimental phase, 2 years ago....

Yea, all around one of the dumbest changes they ever made, and for absolutely no reason too. It ruined the ability to build good looking bases without actually adding anything anyone ever asked for.
