Center of Mass

    Can someone explain the blue and yellow balls in the Center of Mass tool in the debug menu? I thought there used to be a tooltip or something that helped explain it but I don't see it anymore.

    The one with the lines attached to it (yellow) is the center of the vessel geographically...it's own full length / width.

    The one without the lines attached (blue) is the center of mass.

    The further apart they are, the more "uneven" the vessel is.

    If you had a huge heavy chunk of combat steel in the rear, but long thing wispy wings of carbon substrate that went out really far to the front, left, and right, both of those balls would be very far apart.

    If you just had a cube, they would be right on top of each other.

    You can determine the amount of rotational torque you'll get from a thruster by seeing where it is placed in relation to the center of mass.
