Is there a way to see the map of other planets other than the one you are currently on?

My example: I'm on my home planet right now, I don't have a CV because I lack Erestrum, Zascosium and Neodymium. So I flew over to the other planets in the system and mapped them out with my SV and returned home to plan my strategy. I would like to build a small outpost on the other planets just for mining and for a transporter for faster travel. But I can't plan that from my home base it seems as I can't look at the maps of the other planets (which as I said mapped out with my SV).

Sort of but it isn't supported by the game. If you look into the cache for your game you *may* find map.png files under the /Playfields directory that show you the complete terrain of a world without any of the markers. (example: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Empyrion - Galactic Survival\Saves\Cache\<gamename>\Playfields\<playfieldname>)

Another option would be to use console admin permissions to visit the playfield and snap a few pictures of the map via F7 ... to do that go console, set god mode invisible (gm iv), and the use teleport to jump to the playfield. As long as you don't run around you should be able to view your map and it will appear as you scouted it without gifting yourself too much if any additional info. Scroll around, take snapshots, then teleport back.

If the game doesn't support what you consider a reasonable feature using console commands is frequently a great way to work around. The map and marker systems has lots of suggestions/asks/issues logged against it.

To see the planetary map you are supposed to enter the planet's atmosphere, so the short answer is: No, except the exotic solution above. There is a console command with which you can teleport into a playfield (also allowing you to see the map), but this is not stable, it can mess-up your savegame, so don't do it during normal gameplay or make a backup before.

You can use the in-game Registry tab to know which discovered entities are on the planet, that's not what you want but by reading your message the map won't help you anyway for planing a building process like you describe, you'd need to be there and see the terrain to make reliable plans.

Guess it's a "your mileage may vary" luck kind of thing. I've teleported in sector using "teleport <playfield name>" since 9.n for the same reason ("gadzooks! why can't I look at planets I already mapped in order to plan?") many dozens of times and never had any issues.

There's a few small teleporter bases on the workshop, cheap that run mostly on solar

Just leave one in each planet you intend on visiting

To be more precise and from what I have experimented, it's only unstable if you teleport to unvisited planet atomospheres of some planet types, as long as you teleport to already visited bodies it should cause no problems.

Also on the Workshop there are a bunch of really small and cheap bases intended for temporary use that you can build and place easily, not requiring exotic materials. There is also a 'box' containing only a deconstructor, a furnace and a generous container room, very cheap to build, very fast to place and dismantle (JRandell Workshop page).
But at some point in the game you must ask yourself if you invest in a good all-around exploration CV with good weapons or have many bases all around different systems.
