Hi guys, I experience an issue which I am not sure if its a feature or a setting hope you can help me out and that I targeted my question to the right address. We are 3 people playing on a dedicated server, rented at nitrado. Everyone of us is having his own base. The server has been set to freeze the game after everyone logs out. It's working properly, so far, so good. But when just one of us is playing, the bases of the other guys start and keep running until there is no more fuel left and the stored food continues to rot. Is it possible to secure this wont happen(console/server commands, playing in different galaxies etc.)? Otherwise we need to play together all the time to not create bad moods Best regards Duki
Im in a similar boat, although mine is easier to handle. I made a server for just me and my gf after we tried working on a public server but i went on the next and idiot me forgot time doesnt stand still if people are online. I made this private server, but im having the issue of time still running (by time i mean the rotation of the planet and the time of day continues) after everyone has logged out. I think for your case you have to all play or none of you have to play so that you all have your thumb on the pulse of your respective bases. Side question, how did you set your server to pause time after everyone leaves? is it somewhere in the .yaml file??
Welcome to the forum mate. From what I have read on here, the base will keep running if someone else is logged onto the server. Before you leave the server I would switch everything off, except for the fridge, grow light and turrets. You could do this via a switch and Signal Logic. Maybe put an extra Fuel Tank in. Do you have Solar Panels?
Having the same problem here with the latest version. I run a dedicated server for my friend and I, we usually play together but sometimes either of us wants to do a little more when the other is tied up. Every time we both log off, base keeps running, constructors keep building, plants grow, and then the base is out of power / oxygen. We used to play a few years back and never had this problem. What is the consensus? An update broke / changed the dedicated server behavior? Is there a special setting in the config that's needed now to trigger the behavior we desire?
