Its from a call of duty game Infinite Warfare, I think it is an awesome design. Would love to see a builder. Heck I'd even paypal a builder to build it in game to specs. I envision it as a destroyer/heavy cruiser. Strong armor, but maintaining good maneuver. I'd say, something like 90 meteres in length or less to keep the build blocks and weight down and cpu in line. I might try my hand at it but my art skills are nill. and i know its more than just about being able to use the builder in game, requires someone with a good eye to get this kind of detail...which sadly i dont have and only empyrion builders do.
No need to be artsy to build ships in empyrion, spatial awareness and good screenshots is all you need. And this ship is actually a pretty good starting subject to learn building. Looking from a distance it consists of only 5 boxes. Here's how i would do it: Start of with a t shaped cross. I'd say 110 meters (55 blocks as 1 block is 2 meters) length and 36 meters broad at the t section at the back. Now into the third dimension. The slightly darker front section would be 18 meters. Thus add 3 blocks at the bottom about 8 blocks from the nose into the midship and add 5 at the top. For the backside again 3 at the bottom and then 8 or 9 at the top. Then you form the quadratic shape of the darker nose section and pull it all the way back. Erasing stuff later on is never a problem. The you start at the back and shape the big box in lighter grey and pull it to the middle until it looks fitting. Again, erasing at this stage is not failure but measurement. Next up is the lower but almost as wide as the backside box and for the finish you add the dark grey boxes left and right. Creative mode tips: Shift-drag a block to draw a line. Shift-ctrl-drag a block to drag the line into the third dimension. Shift-rightclick on a block to erase it and its mirrored counterpart. The undo button in the N menu is your second best friend. And after you get used to use it the copy function your very best friend.
ok thanks for the tips. will definitely give it a go. but ive no idea about some of what you said. what you said is just basically the floor plan? like the markers for how big the ship would be
A word of Encouragement for you: I use only Pictures of Vessels and Building to create them in EGS. It works quite well as long as focus on not getting carried away with the too 'fancy' Stuff. You can always make copies and place them side-by-side when you try something out. Did this with my last Build. My CV works better than I thought.
Build lots. mess it up. Build something new. I've churned out more cv than I could count. Haven't published this one yet but I been flying it around a server lol
original concept art, just did a picture reverse search in google https://gr1n.artstation.com/projects/yEr48
