This is a medium sized corvette-class vessel named after historical Roman ballista (scorpio). I made this vessel for a corvette competition at Star-Citizen forums. As an inspiration I used USS Independence Trimaran, with kind of inverting it's shape and going forward from there. I wanted to create more aggressive look hence I went for the double hull front. It has 4x Cap ship rocket launchers as main cannon (In Star-Citizen we could use single fixed railguns here, but as we don't have all weapon types available for Cap-Ships in Empyrion I went for rockets) and 8x small minigun turrets (SC small ASA weapons to intercept fighters and bombers) and also one rocket turret (Missile launcher in SC) From the bow to aft (as the order is in pictures) it has: 2x Main gun operating stations 2x lounge areas for crew + small kitchen on each + entrance elevators for bow ASA turrets 2x crew sleeping quarters + showers and toilets 2x small farm areas to grow food and enhancing air supply on longer missions large life support + storage area in middle Two level bridge with captains seat + targeting +mapping suite on upper deck and science officers stations on lower(s) Reactor room Fuel storage room (with gravity generator) Entrance to aft turrets Landing pad for small vessels on top of the ship Ships strategic measurements: 53 blocks long ( 106m) 17 blocks wide (34m) 8 blocks high (16m) 2.31 kilotons in weight and here's some pics: Spoiler: This is how I start every single vessel/base anything I ever make, by making a simple plan image on ms_paint And here's the ready ship And from top Spoiler: Crew living area + main cannon operator's chair Spoiler: Tiny farming areas (both front hulls are quite identical) Spoiler: Crafting area, storage and lifesupport Spoiler: Upper bridge Spoiler: Lower level of the bridge Blueprint link: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=650880335

One can only wonder how many other Star Citizen backers there are on here. Proud to say I was an early backer in the first month of the campaign, lifetime insurance on my starting exploration model 315p Now I just need a pc that can run it lol.
Glad you like it, it would look even better if I was able to do it on some proper 3d program. This is about the best I could do with ms_paint and Star Citizen's (Aegis Retaliator) textures. Rather hard to build it to the scale on Empyrion though, it came out super blocky I think there's many of us (SC backers) in this game as well as in many others like this, since there haven't been proper space games for ages and now suddenly there's enough variation to cover almost any craving. Have to say though, pretty much all of them are either pre-alphas or otherwise pre-orders so this seems to be one of the most promising ones.
This is the CV that I built. Nuff' said. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=655891209&searchtext=
Yep I agree, first building game of this style in my gaming history and I am enjoying it too much, been playing some other stuff past week or two but gonna launch back into it soon, alpha features are looking great, cant wait
Star Wars BFF-1 Bulk Freighter MKI (CV) Based on the BFF-1 freighter from the X-Wing game series. This huge freighter class ship was used by both, imperial and rebell forces. If you ever had problems with store for all your goods, this ship is your solution. Features: 1:1 scale Length: 120 m * no weapons * no food processors, grow plots or constructors. * huge amount of cargo boxes and fridges * still enough empty room for whatever you want to store there * warp drive * many o2 tanks * many fuel tanks * gravity generator - Planetary landing not tested yet. This is just a basic replica. Modify it for your needs Special thanks to Jona "darthvader" for help with finishing the interior. Capital Vessel Cheyenne Top/Front Top/Back Bottom/back Bottom This is my first CV, so, it needs some optimizing. By that I mean that it handles like a shopping cart and there is a weird lag when turning. Still need to do the armor and advanced weapons once i get the resources for them. My SV "Betty" is parked in the hangar in the back. 6 Normal thrusters in the rear of each wing, 4 large ones on the underside and directionals scattered about the ship. RCSs are in the wings and in the center (maybe that's my problem). Other objects like fuel tanks, o2 tanks are distributed evenly throughout the ship for redundancy.
you got a steam profile? and do you upload your builds to the workshop? course if you do I would really much like to follow your progress when you start off with a ship like that! I've build alot of ships, but you start off at the point I've just reached :O (will know more about just how far you've gotten when I've tested your ship )
I have never used steam workshop before. I will check it out. I think I will build upon this design for a while as it took a fairly long time to get this far. I did, however, figure out that my maneuverability issue was caused by too few generators. CVs have been reported to have those power spikes, and multiple generators will mitigate problems caused by that.
Your cv looks great, really great job for the first ship !!. you know it for sure but if not, then remember to take BP of it now, so you do not lose it when Alpha comes to us.
Thanks for the compliments! Got a few copies of the BPs on separate media. Don't want to loose all that work
