    Hi All,

I have just a small suggestion for when people are building Vehicles and Buildings.

As you all know the Multi-Tool shows us information when pointing at a block, like this:
    • Action Selected (Retrieve Blocks)
    • Composition of the block (Carbon Composite)
    • Class of the Block (Block S)
    • Hitpoints (20/20)
I propose one extra piece of information.

A unique ID Say (1111) for Shapes, so players can identify quickly the correct Shape from the selection of Shapes, rather than looking for ages trying to find the right Shape you want.

Now that I think more about it a search option for that ID would be handy in the Shape selection dialogue.

I have Uploaded some screen dumps edited with the proposed Suggestion.

It would be interesting to see if it is just me that has problems identifying blocks when trying to repair Vehicles. Yes, I know we can build a Repair station save the ship etc... but we don't have that all the time when playing and sometimes it is just more fun to do it oneself.

Hi I find the idea really interesting. I myself sometimes when I build I have a hard time to know which block I should put. I have to try a lot of different types of blocks and in all directions before I find the right block to put.

The usual problem is the block is no longer there to identify :)

Having the ID is only part of the problem, if it has a symbol on it or faces texture etc then maybe you also need its rotation etc. Even with ships I designed myself I often cant be bothered with hand repairing back to new so I often just stuff anything in the hole(s) and if I still care about the vessel by the time I get repair bay, then Ill remove the crap I filled the holes with and let it take care of it.

More often it just gets dumped somewhere eventually (too much trouble to even salvage the damn thing with current tools).
