I am just wondering if this time the post will stay lol. Last time (not so long ago) there was an annoucement about water upgrade, it vanished pretty fast.
Jaw droppingly good. But now you gotta tell us more, man. Will there be more attention to stuff under water? I mean, treasures, loot, creatures, POIs? Ooooh.
Looking good. Although that plant life needs to be swaying with the waves. I love building beach front houses. This will make them so much better. I hope this also gets some top notch wave SFX.
Looks really nice. But how does it impact performance? GPU prices and availability get worst as time passes. Whatever you do guys do not turn one of my favorite games unplayable to old H/W please. A switch to turn this visual effect off would be appreciated. I play often close to the sea sore PS Forgot to thank for the tease. We need info about new features. Also Added the drooling smiley
I don't care for water as long as the rest of the planet is drowned in ugly white fog. Your recently updated post processing has rendered each and every planet and moon into an ugly white foggy soup, I've quit playing your game since then and don't see me coming back any time soon.
Ripples and waves, cool. Splashes? (Imagining the splash a CV carrier would make). Water flowing into the hole we just blasted in the shorline? Perhaps keeping water out of airtight builds when we land in a lake or build a base in one?
Looks nice. Will underwater terrain mining get some attention as well? Will new shaders also not render water in airtight spaces? Maybe even make player in said spaces not considered to be underwater as well?
A long time ago, when Morrowind came out, I first saw the implementation of the water effect by shaders. I remember then looking at the screen and saying "WOW! Cool!" Now there is a similar reaction to this news
