We need need a sound emiter with max distance to ear and signal activable. Conditional sound will be apreciated: Activated on [SIGNAL XXXA] Earing range [2-20] blocs if[Allways] Play [ENVSOUND] if [signal XXX] Play [XXXSOUND1] if [signal XXY] Play [XXXSOUND2] if [signal XXZ] Play [XXXSOUND3] Needed sounds: - alarm - green - yellow - red - evacuation - information - arriving - docking - departure - max power mode - economic power mode - weaponnery on/off ... - env sounds - cocpit computer sounds - machinery sounds - electronics sounds - electrical devices backsounds
I would definitely like to be able to add different sounds (and vocals). Those listed above would be a great start. I would hope that their implementation would be kept as simple and straight forward as possible to allow an ancient space cadet like me to make use of them.
Not only add sounds to many things but also allow us to replace/add our own also for modding purposes...
I tried to make a base of one space poi after taking out its core. But the creepy music just would not stop. I had to abandon a very nice base because I could not change the background music. I would also like a sound for warping. Loved the Privateer warp transistion. It felt like and sounded like you were being sucked in and spit back out.
I wonder how many of you here are annoyed by the munching noises the Character does while eating a snack... ...and still ask for more sounds...
We have decals now, but almost nobody using them. They can play .wav and .ogg, and even movies. They are reserved for POIs and admin cored POIs/ships for now, but may expand at some point if players show more interest IMO.
