Nice POI's! Thank you for contributing to the Abandoned series! Some notes/constructive critique: Spoiler: Notes/constructive critique Excellent use of the damaged blocks: How does one actually get to the core: ? There are no explosive blocks? Do you want the player to use AOE weapons? In general I try to encourage the use of this texture: Since there are no guides publicly showing there is/was no way for you to know so not a big deal. Just thought you should know for the future as I want to nudge you to make more. I think I will finish the guide I have and tidy it up a bit and see if I can get @Hummel-o-War to move it public. Excellent representational building: Is there any chance you could point them in opposite directions? A quibble I know, but just a thought. This POI has a LOT of enemies - which is good. The abandoned structures are supposed to be tough - but they are also high risk, high reward. Any chance you could localize and/or add some very rare to this area: More loot = good. Relating to that area, also, adding in some more alien blocks in place of the walls would fit the theme. Right now it comes across as the POI is more infested by bugs and the legacy are a hybrid biological/technological parasite conversion organism. There needs to be a reason for them to be here. Rare ore? Speaking of the legacy it can technically manifest any organism it has absorbed prior, BUT, it has also gone to sleep(sorta) so I try to limit the enemy types to the Alien bug 02 and Nightmares to reflect that(the alien bug 02 is also a placeholder for a future model to represent an infector mechanism.) I only say this because I see some alien bug 03 and that is cute, but also makes it seem more like bug hive. One very tricky thing about this POI is that the filler blocks do not provide SI. I know I know, fuuuuuuuuckkk right? I cannot tell if this POI utilizes an admin core as that is one way to kinda/sorta fudge with things, but as soon as ANY block is affected by something, then ALL of the unsupported blocks will come crashing down(i.e. even with an Admin core.) One way to get around this is to head to the scenario thread or... I think it is here in the builders league...? -> the thread that Ravien provided that includes the resource asteroid blueprints. You can load those into creative mode, then select a part and copy + paste it into this BP. Asteroid terrain DOES provide SI, but it can play havoc with visuals so you will need to re-organize some things. @Hummel-o-War this POI should not be included until the SI is addressed. BUT! Once it is, it will be awesome. Very nicely designed. Did I mention you should make some more?
Instead of finding the thread, I just zipped them all up for you and will attached them to this post. That should help.
I wasn't aware that asteroid bits provide SI that's, interesting.... Just to note though it is actually structurally sound (assuming someone doesn't destroy a pillar I suppose) Though that's only the main building the eggs are still a problem I suppose lol I'll meddle with it. How much loot would you add to the last area? its actually has 40% of the POIs loot 3 Normal, 1 Rare, 1 Very Rare, 1 Ultra Rare Should I maybe not hide loot as much?
The abandoned POIs are very nice and much needed for exploration on planets that do not belong to factions. Plus they give a winderful alternative way of play and loot on both empty planets and faction ones. I enjoy the change often during my gameplay while on neely discovered planets.
So, I did add some goo to the end bit, and lower the 03 bugs a bit, ultimately the ones that remain likely need to be there for gameplay reasons. (They need to be ranged mobs). While the SI should be fine as I mentioned above, I should note Asteroid material does not provide SI (It has SI it does not give SI). A larger issue however I have noticed is due to the POI's depth, the water layer starts to interfere with the players vision at some point (If water is on the world). I would image the POI being set to randomly spawn on worlds, so until that's addressed it would make completing this POI rather odd.
