Help needed Starting a new Faction - Brainstorming

Hello everyone.

I was thinking of starting a new faction and I was advised to post it here to get any ideas
I know that it is a big project that will take months and it is not sure that Eleon will accept it
but I am willing to try
I am trying to find the right lore/history/faction colours/name so I can start working on it.
As a general idea I don't want to make a faction that has as main idea rebels or waste etc.
I was thinking about an Empire with shiny ships (aka not dark colours or looking old).
Any help would be appreciated

 

First I would suggest you need a general idea for the faction. What kind of empire is it, a trade empire? Imperial/dictator empire? Religious empire? Empire of peaceful nations?

Empire of light?
Empire of darkness? (i.e. a bunch of evil gits)

 

yea a peaceful empire. Light , not dark. I don't want any dark scenario , slaves etc

 

After that I'd take a look at this thread Fractalite made. Once you have answers for all of that you are well on the way of having the lore of your faction. Then it's onto the hard part in making the stuff

also once you have the lore worked out could add in some history to tie the faction into the game more and help to explain why they interact the the way they do with other factions, see the docs i sent you for an example

Thx ! These days I will finish with basic points of faction (I will try to stream it also) . No idea if I can post here all the hisotry, name etc so u can tell me your opinion also
