    Hey guys,
playing Empyrion starting with first public releases from time to time, and the game progressed so much!

But each time I build a proper CV - I am almost losing interest and point of further exploration, because space is so big, and you just don't know where to go(because you can go anywhere). Stationary base loses its meaning.
Before you built your CV - the game is real hard and exciting, but after...
reforged eden scenario extended my games a little bit, online VS single also is more interesting. But in the end It's the same - CV and no interest to going anywhere :|
Is there any ironman mod, which makes death = restart the game from scratch?

Who else have a problem like me?
help me please to create some challenge and play again this beautiful game!

I think a one-life mode could be self imposed easily enough.

But if you want a challenge, there's PvP on the Official US server (and the EU server, but I don't know if it's as active)
In any case, it's certainly a challenge, and definitely gives a reason to grind out more resources.
Granted PvP is entirely optional, but hey, if you're looking for something to push back against you, it's right there.

But I get you, EGS doesn't have a great difficulty curve. It's more a sheer cliff. Once you scale that cliff, you're on top and that's that.

The early game is definitely more fun and interesting. I get what you are saying. A lot of playthroughs for me, once I build a good CV, I start losing interest.
Currently I am playing through the Star Salvage scenario and it has been a lot more fun. The updates the creator is adding have really boosted what was already a fun scenario. A nice change to vanilla or RE.
I have done a lot of playthroughs where I self impose a 1 life or limited lives run. It makes for a much more challenging and (for me) slower paced game. I don't just rush into any dangerous situation as it could mean a full restart.

It does feel like something is missing once you get to mid/late game, but I am not a content creator so not sure what could be added.

classic problem many game in this early stage or forever have. All the progress is just to improve your ressource gathering. The next step is always to be able to get and store more ressources until you reach the point you have endless ressources and realize you have nothing anymore to do.

There is no sidequests, no funfeatures, no cosmetics, no quality of live perks, no decisionmaking in progress, its a boring straight line.

There's quite a few missions/side objectives in Reforged Eden (bringing it up because the original poster mentioned it) that hopefully at least alleviates this issue for a time.
Though of course the more experienced and "hard core" people can still get to the end game within a week, but that's going to happen no matter what.

Eleon needs to add game features which are challenges for you only in the late-game and impossible to play in early-game. This could be done in enemy POI and ship design, some POIs are actually difficult enough, but I miss real exploring challenges apart the pure combat, in late-game the survival aspect isn't there any longer, that makes it rather boring if you don't know what to do.
The size of the universe is not a big problem for me because I'm installing teleporter relays in space pretty everywhere, it's not too costly and allows you to overcome the 30LY limit, so you can return to your dear bases and stuff you build early on. I would really like to see a plotting calculator in the galactic map for planing teleporter routes to a specific destination, based on the teleporters you have at your disposal, that would make planing and travels easier.

Just have to interject here and disagree. The game is only "real hard" up until the point you learn to build a laser rifle, and even then, it's not really all that hard. I can and do regularly fend off raptor packs and even golems with nothing more than the survival tool. I find it fun to play "what else can I kill with this?", and the only things I find to exceptionally hard to take down with the survival tool, other than AI vehicles or Zirax drones, are Zirax shotgunners, rocket soldiers*, or laser soldiers. I'm generally not willing to wait to see if I can crack a shielded POI with it either, but that's a different matter entirely.

*Rociket soldiers are actually their own worst enemy, and can be tricked into blowing themselves up by baiting them into firing when they're too close to something, anything - a rock, a tree, a bit of scrap or a POI wall. Try it some time, it's pretty amusing.

Ironman mode is enabled in your frontal lobe, and activated as follows:

Upon death, hold one hand in front of you, palm up. Raise you hand rapidly until it makes contact with your forehead. Then return to the main menu, delete your save game, and begin again.
