I built a giga-core and my plant rooms and main bay are not o2 tight , what is the process to finding the offending blocks? I understand that I can press N and set the o2 thing but that only shows what rooms are not air tight. How do I find where i ma leaking form
That pretty much is the process really, any block that doesn't show as green isnt air tight. Worst case you can section rooms off with blocks to try and narrow it down.
Be aware. There is a bug that can lead to air-tight areas not being air tight. This tends to happen during longer play sessions and a save / reload fixes it. I only mention this as it's happened to me twice during my current game. Each time I spent ages using the Diagnostic options searching for a leak in a large build when there simply wasn't one.
If you can't find it yourself take a blueprint and link it in here. One of us will end up finding the leak as soon as we get a chance. Reloading the save in MP is waiting for the server to restart, btw. An admin should be able to help with that, or it should have a restart schedule in most cases.
Ok, I don't know if the issue can occur in MP, though I'd hope exiting the client and going back in would fix it in the same way. One of the issue with the air tightness tool is that it's quite short ranged, so you really have to look carefully to ensure all areas are uncovered. If you're still struggling, @TwitchyJ's suggestion is a good one. Upload the BP and we can take a look.
late to the party... There are several Block types who are not airtight, i.e., certain Staircases, all kind of Glass Doors and some thin blocks. Also the amount of O2 Tanks and Ventilators are sometimes a thing, as well as U-shaped Wall Blocks which may block air to flow through. Anyway. I concure with the others that further speculations won't do any good and providing the BP would help best.
