i have traveled hundreds of planets and placed some Autominers but for one reason or another possibly hud clutter i didn't way point them. is their an easy way to find my stuff in the galaxy? even if i filter player poi's i still have to go through each solar system and expand to see if anything pops up. this takes a very long time and is inefficient. any suggestions to make it easier? that tab needs a search feature.
the map registry is great if your on the planet that your miner is on but i want to go back to the system that has my auto miners but i can't remember the system. so i have to go through every system one by one and every planet, even if i filter for player poi's. this really needs a search feature
I've heard others mention the use of LCDs to jot down notes. It does seem a bit silly though. We have a ship that can blink to star systems but terminals with database, navigation routes, merchant trade details... all beyond our grasp. The best we can manage is a large notepad on the wall. Alternatively, Excel or Open Office (free=better) would be my goto for notes and databases outside of the game itself.
I use to place a base with teleporter and furnace in a playfield with autominers. Also have a hauling vessel there to collect the ore, then turn it into materials to put in Blueprint Factory. Normally choose a system with most ore types. Or maybe have a (simple/captured) base there and name it "Autominers here" Do not remember if can use the "ents" command, but then have to be admin on a server or SP/Coop.
