"Interlude: Meet the GLaD Looking back at your time in Andromeda, you start to feel like stumbling from one event into another, making friends and foes as you go but without really know how everything is connected. And your guts say, there must be something that explains all this. Even after relaying the fragmented information about the Talon, Zirax and Legacy sharing a history, to your new allies, things are not getting any better. You are still in doubt what the motives of the Galactic Liberation and Defense organisation is. Although your girlfriend, Alex, might be part of that group and despite you can understand they support kind of a rebellion of the Talon against the Zirax Empire, most of all this does not make any sense to you yet. But things are about to change..."
Just noting that "Alex" is an English male name, not a female name. There's "Alexia" or other variants, but "Alex" is firmly male.
....just like Claus-Maria Brandauer...24th Century, you know? Things maybe a bit different... Alex as Girl Name. Here-> http://www.thinkbabynames.com/meaning/0/Alex
How would I go about adding the new story missions (this and chapters 7-9, plus anything else) to my PDA on an in-progress save?
I am afraid, that's nearly not possible as you do not only miss the missions config, but all the other changes that were made (POI, Dialogues, NPCs..). Some will not/cannot be "updated" to a running savegame.
Would "GLD" not be a better acronym for this faction? I hate to be the turd in the drinking water here but, I have to be honest. "GLaD" sounds like a name from a kids cartoon, or the type of organisation whose flagship is named the Rainbow Warrior. I may struggle to take that faction seriously should I encounter them...
Alex, as an American female name could be: Alexandra, Alexandria, Alexis, or a few exotic variations thereof. As a male name, Alec or Alek (rare spelling) are not unheard of, and Alex could simply be shorted for Alexander, or even sometimes just Alex. By the time we get to the era of Empyrion, there may be even less distinction in the name/gender arena.
And how would you pronounce "GLD". Closest I can get sounds like "glud", with a very shortened, guttural "u" sound, kind of like a sharp blow to the solar plexus.
A "G", then "L", and then "D"? Acronyms don't have to be pronounced as words. Similar to how you don't try to pronounce UN, WTO, WWF etc. as words. Otherwise, how is the UCH pronounced then? EDIT: Like "GDI" from Command & Conquer.
Quick question, is there any way you could be persuaded to slap down a few Walkway blocks in the following locations in both the Hidden Base and in the GlAD Hideout? I keep falling in.
The Root Beer recipe is a quest item from the "Totally Overpowered" mission. I know they reused the pirates base for the GlAD Hideout, but I think they copied over more than they intended.
I am aware of the Role of the Root beer Recipe...and still the changes can lead to finding things where you least expect them to find
I am stuck on the Mission Meet Glad, I'm in the right POI GLaD Hideout. I had to circumvent the passcode locked door (dug around it with my drill). Went to the control room and notta, nothing, no trigger. Shutdown and restarted the game, no change. Is this mission broke or what?
I think the digging around the passcode broke it. Possibly one of the triggers did not work. Hard to say - maybe you can send in a savegame with that issue? Thx in advance!
Nope it wouldn't trigger no matter what I tried before I tried to dig around it. If it happens again. I'll send a save file, however I deleted that save and started over as that has fixed issues of a similar nature in the past.
