    Hi,

Since I play Empyrion, each time I'm entering a planet atmosphere, I'm positioning my ship with a soft angle as if the game was managing atmospheric heat entry as in real life or like other games like Kerbal Space Program.
It is a roleplay status and certainly my Kerbal space program experience which trigger some space flight mechanics !

Of course, Empyrion doesn't manage at all the great experience of a spaceship reentry, with all the effects you can see when you look at certains pictures like Alien 2 or real NASA or Space X documentary.

It really misses me in the game, since a space entry should be at least a careful moment is not a dangerous one (if you don't have an advanced spaceship with its shields on and enough thrust power to slow down)....
There's so much which could be done :
Imagine experiencing reentry heat management, turbulences, and possibly getting into an acid cloud storm.....

Yes, I would also welcome some interesting transition between space and planet atmosphere, but with the current grafics of the game that's asking very much I'm afraid.

I don't think that is a problem. If the atmospheric entry is used as a buffer while the game is loading the planet, we could have a smoother transition (the environment becoming opaque when switching from buffer to field). The question is how to use the buffer for planets without atmosphere and while exiting the planet. It would need the planets in space to be significantly larger in order to be used during entry and exit to have a good transition.
